Hey Nick, I would strongly advise you to talk to a dermatologist about your hair. What you're describing doesn't sound like it's related to you eating eggs. It could just be shock hair loss/telogen effluvium, which is temporary. Hair doesn't grow back that fast in the timeframe you mentioned with your eggs. Or you could get lucky and catch your potential male pattern baldness in its super early stage and just hop on finasteride.

@spencerc32 Жыл бұрын
i personally have been trying to do high carb high protein a few days working up to my hardest workout, then low and more micro at the end of the week, monday-wednesday i want to feel beefy and strong, thursday-saturday i want lean and light...i do often drift from this, and its a relatively new idea im trying. i feel every meal i eat, i notice the difference in my muscle mass, and tummy. Im also not looking to compete. my goal is to lose fat and gain muscle spanning years of maintainable progress. my rotation revolves around my big deadlift day 1x per week, everything else i toss atleast once every 10 days. Im relatively low drive these days due to meds, so it works for me. so try to eat heavy till deads on wednesday, then eat lighter the rest of the week.

It's Not the Eggs Nick, It's the DHT, There's no correlation between Eggs and Male Pattern Baldness. What Changed is You Are OLDER. The MPB Hair follicles are on TIMERS, if the Timer's not up the DHT signal won't effect it, But If It IS when the follicle receives the signal from the DHT it will Die, and Fall out. DHT derivatives are particularly bad, like MAST.
@cantankerouspatriarch4981 Жыл бұрын
There could be other explanations. Perhaps the fat from x number of yolks is temporarily reducing glucose oxidation through the Randle Cycle/Effect. I don't buy the mainstream DHT -MPB hypothesis. I think the ideas outlined by Danny Roddy in Hair Like a Fox should be explored before any man uses Dutasteride or Finasteride (which can chemically castrate as a side effect). Lowering cortisol and reducing calcification are good places to start. Thiamine hydrochloride, niacinamide, magnesium, sodium bicarbonate, glycine, and taurine are a good starting supplement stack.

@Nick Walker how are you bro? I can say with a lot of confidence that even for you, especially for you, 3 times a week is all you need. Push, Pull, Legs But like Dorian did, biceps on push, triceps on pull because especially on pull days, Biceps get wrecked and isolating them at the end=deep tissue injury, in other words, too excessive. Hope it does help, sometimes we know the right thing to do but need additional convincing.

I get everything Nick is saying but honestly he's a bit of a hypocrite. He didn't build the mass he has now by doing sholder presses with 200lbs or using 110lb dumbells on chest day. He got to where he is by using ridiculous amounts of weight. It was just 2 years ago when the guy was doing shoulder presses with 405 on the Smith machine. He was using 200lb dumbells for reps, he was doing leg presses with 12-13 hundred pounds. Now he's just refining all that muscle he built and he's blessed with the genetics that his body still responds. The point is he would have never got to where he is if he didn't train with ridiculous amounts of weight at some point. As far as protein goes, he doesn't say what's a lot or a little so what is considered too much? Nick looks amazing right now so what ever he's doing is working. I always said that 280 should be his off season target weight because he's huge but still very lean. He didn't look good at all when he went to 300lbs even though he looked fantastic at that Olympia. As far as him just being focused on the Olympia goes, what if he waits for an invite and it doesn't come? He shouldn't wait too long to do a show because then it could be too close to the Olympia and it might keep him from being his best.

He did a lot of weight for fun. He didn’t trained a whole day with that kind of weight. Also when he did a lot of weight he still controlled it. Plus if the show is closer to the Olympia it is easier to maintain the conditioning

@amorfati4927 Жыл бұрын
Wouldn’t be surprising. I don’t follow him that close but I figured he’s no less than .8-1g per LB which is the long standing scientific maximum before diminishing returns. The main problem when people like him say that with no real context is if some normie comes around who legit only eats .4g per LB or so (which is surprisingly common with people, especially women) and they think they’re doing it right but have no gains.
@alanfeuer6337 Жыл бұрын
Hi Nick, hope you are doing well and almost fully recovered. A moderate protein diet with healthy fats like avocado is highly preferably to a high protein diet. Our digestive system is a engine that ages. We should not make it work that much harder. High protein diet may impose a metabolic burden on your bones, kidneys and liver. Plus if you drink a lot of water it would limit constipation . Plus I take digestive enzymes. I am an 61 year old Army vet still working out hard at the gym four- five days a week. In the best shape of my life at 61 still growing while maintaining muscle. Just do not want to like muscle. My friends are losing muscle in the 60s and are having trouble with their skeletons! Some are walking with trouble, hunched over. Not me! Try to help but they are just too lazy. That way I hung with 30 and 40 year olds. Be well.
@kwest84 Жыл бұрын
I just turned 40 and this is my main motivation now: to eat healthy and build as much muscle as I can for the next 10 years (naturally), and then maintain my strength as I get older to avoid physical issues. People like Robbie Robinson and Serge Nubret who stayed fit all their life are super motivational for me. No walker for me when I get old, my legs are gonna carry me. And my back and core will be stable and strong.
@bobmac9070 Жыл бұрын
The “egg” is the most perfect food for protein and nutrients that it contains. The balance of both yoke and egg white is good. I never heard of anyone ever losing hair because of eggs. You must be the only one!!!! Guys in the 50s 60s and 70s ate as many as 3 dozen a days Larry Scott, Don Howorth, Bill Pearl, Freddy Ortiz, and even Arnold and many others had great hair all their lives, that’s nonsense. Never mind all the PEDs. 🤨🤔
