I don't want to be too negative so I'll just leave the following comments: - To day trade you need $30,000 minimum or else your broker will not authorize you to "day trade" options - If he could do this regularly, he would be the greatest trader of all time. Anyways, the financial markets are a great place to learn and grow but no one consistently does what Nick just has shown. Literally not a single person, including him.

Just a tip to get into contracts faster on TOS for scalping. Under the Trade tab, right click which ever contract your looking at i.e. TSLA 500C (whichever expiration date), then right click, copy and open Charts and click paste. Boom, you have the option contracts with 1 click with auto send on with Active Trader. Hope this helps someone

I just don’t really understand day trading - you’re basically speculating on chart patterns based off historic momentum patterns. History doesn’t equal future and studies show this. There are more effective indicators but if every traders are using the same indicators then it makes it null. There’s definitely skill in risk management and emotional discipline, but I think it’s really naive to think the market actually behaves based off past chart patterns - especially if you haven’t been in tune with the market for years or know the book that funds and sell side traders have access to. By the way this comment isn’t aimed at you, but the principle. I think any successful trader needs to get skin in the game to become successful. Whether that’s watching the markets, doing fundamental research, understanding supply and demand as well as momentum on a stock trading throughout the day or how options work. So this is definitely useful to become more knowledgeable but let’s face it, short term charting is not sustainable. It’s heavily risky over the long term, has increased transaction costs and is not tax efficient compared to longer term horizons. Are you planning on developing any trading strategies in the future?

There is a winner and loser on each side of every trade. Day trading options is most likely not going to work over the long term. Look up Clay Trader, he posts his wins and losses (which can be upwards of $4000 sometimes).

You can learn just from youtube videos. I will seldom come across nick commenting/asking a question on one of them from earlier this year lol. just goes to show that nick wasn't (and probably isn't fully) a competent trader. Given time learning and hopefully starting off small (like a paper account or w/ a low balance), you can feel more confident taking more risk (and obv more reward). You just have to know the risks beforehand.

Nick here is just using the most basic 'predictive" measures and has never shown any of his long term gains and losses. Is he making profit long term, for the risk percentage he is taking is the profit actually worth it. Does Nick even know basic geometry?

It would be highly risky if naked shorts but they were naked longs (buy a call or buy a put). Most people don't say naked longs (all longs are assumed to be naked). Still risky but his downside is fixed. He will never lose more than the premium he spent. However if they were naked shorts (selling calls or selling puts) then yes, very risky, infinite risk for selling calls and extent of risk for selling a put depends on the stocks underlying price.
