In the comics when she lost her arm, it was replaced with a magical arm that allows her to do basic witch powers like limited telekinesis, combustion, etc. so that she isn't heavily reliant on the staff anymore in actual combat. She uses the staff for creative spellcasting for specific situations.

It happened during avengers arena, where a bunch of super powered teens got kidnapped and were forced to fight amongst themselves like the hunger games. When she lost her arm, it gave her a power boost as the staff itself requires blood magic as a sacrifice. Her enemies did not thought about that.

Nico had said help while she was dying and losing alot of blood .Where she died but the spell activated where it revived her as well as half of her broken staff turned to a magical gauntlet which was the witch arm.Like you said and it is true .She also overpowered chase who was in the nighthawk armor.As well as apex who was controlling him.When she got knocked over where she lost her staff.Apex thought she won until nico was still able to cast spells through her witch arm.Where apex was surprised nico also said staff of one to me .Where it forcefully made the half of the staff return to her .She then said dirtnap .Where she buried apex and deathlocket alive

But a bit after that nico lost her witch arm because she ended up meeting the one .The one is a sorcerer who is the staff of one .Only once every few years he's able to turn to his human form.The one had fixed nicos arm but had reset the staff back to base levels .Though when he did that it was when nico met him in a dream.She did meet him in reality too .Where nico had changed their contract .By contract one of nicos ancestors defeated the one and gave him a option.Be her weapon or die .The one chose to be her weapon.But only when a certain event happens which is when Mars aligns with the sun and earth .He can turn back to human form.Nico had changed their contract where instead of wanting blood to use spells .Nico has to allow the one to pour a tiny bit of his essence in her.Where he can hear the outside world and have a tiny voice

I think that the power she just used was borrowed from the Dark Dimension. That change around her eye was the same with Kaecillus from the movie Doctor Strange which is also connected to Dormmamu . The signature Black and Violet magic effect of Agatha was also the same which I believe a magic from the Dark Dimension of Dormmamu.

Yes. The fact that the staff of one is powerful but can only use a command word once makes it limited. Also the fact that she is a blood witch and the staff only works because of her blood limits in that aspect too. I love how Marvel makes it where the characters all need to learn and train their powers and don’t instantly know how to use them.

Comic nico had a couple upgrades her first upgrade was from her great grandmother the witchbreaker even putting a enchantment on nicos staff .Where if non minorus touched it they would get their head bitten off . Then by avengers arena the enchantment got retconned.Nico ended up losing a arm due to chase being controlled in the darkhawk armor and ripping her arm off .She was bleeding out but said help which made her staff revive her using the blood as a catalyst and giving her a witch arm.Where she overpowered apex and chase.But then nico lost both those power ups .Due to the one the one is a sorcerer that is the staff of one.He fixed nicos arm where it was flesh .But he reverted the staff back to its base form. He also made a deal with nico where instead of blood he pours a tiny part of his essence in her in exchange for spells .So he can have a tiny voice inside her.

The Staff of one in the comics it was stabbed in Nico's chest and in order for it to come out she needed to bleed whether it was from a cut or from that time of the month she needed to bleed for it to come out In the show it needs her blood to work because it wont work for anyone else but her family and it needs a piece of their DNA for it to work

and in both the comics and in the show she can only cast a commend once but can do anything with it and she found a loophole where she can say a different command but the same meaning example: she can say Force Field and it would come but if she says it again it wont work or birds will appear and try to do the task (but will most likely fail) but however if she says Shield me it will work again cus it was a different command it can cast the same spell twice but not command she can also say it in a different language and it will work too btw and she can do almost anything with it too she is very powerful
