You are absolutely correct. This is what I had experienced with my former husband. It did escalate. One month prior to our divorce, he attempted to strangle me to death. It was horrifying. My mother, whom I loved very much and had passed two years prior, came to me in a near death experience. I never wanted my mom to see me in this manner nor did i wish to see her prior to my passing. Yet there she was. I warn women in my various Facebook support groups on a regular basis. The most dangerous time in a person's life when she or he is attempting to leave the relationship with a predator. Please read and share the book, The Gift of Fear, by Gavin de Becker. I watched the special on lifetime on Sunday June 3rd. There were a lot of COMMERCIALS. It was really hard to watch this as important as it was about Nichole Brown Simpson. What I seen was really terrible. The sisters did a fine job of telling her story. This was really hard for them since they cried a lot. Thank you sisters of Nichole for what truly happen to her.
