Ebony Moore-Walton Yes walking away from the church was one of the best decisions I ever made and I grew up in it. You can see all the super religious egos in the comments section but their hearts have not actually been changed. They have not condemned the self righteous spirit which will use anything it can including religion and scriptures to pretend that its purpose is to help the kingdom. What it really seeks to do is build an identity/image for itself to feel superior. Its a false identity that keeps you from dealing and healing the real issues within your OWNself. Some would be more content with looking the part versus actually doing the inner work on themselves. They will see you quicker than they see themselves. They love to point out where you have messed up and preach fire and brimstone sermons to step on your toes but they have a raggety spiritual life. Why would someone subject themselves to this environment to find God? Its not necessary. God can meet you where you are and if you earnestly search to have a deeper connection just come as a babe and he will gradually show you pieces of him that only you can share with him. Nobody can take these experiences away. Learn what he is really like because some concepts taught about him are just traditions passed down of one persons experience made into a doctrine. He has a lot more sides to him and there is no vocabulary/book that can singlehandedly cover it accurately. He has to be experienced to get a better picture. Throw the religious concepts out and do the work on yourself. As you clear mental and emotional obstructions within youself you will find him. There is no short cut to this and nobody else can do the labor for you. Every person has this connection since his spirit runs through every life form. He really IS within you. Do the inner work and you will see.

At 60 and 51, I'm glad Donnie and Nicole are seasoned saints. The fact that it's 2019 and they are still not married speaks volumes about their maturity. They are not going to be pressured one way or the other and are probably still good friends. The marriage may not have been God's will for them in this season. If the unbeliever departs, let that one depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases. God has called us to peace. Divorce is not the unforgiveable sin. If you made a mistake and married the wrong person, repent and go on with God. He loves us and wants us to be happy! 17 years later I met a godly man in church and we just celebrated 20 years of a peaceful, happy marriage!
