Omega Mart is one of the immersive exhibitions by an art collective called Meow Wolf. Omega Mart is their second of what’s currently four exhibitions. The original is in Santa Fe, New Mexico called ‘The House of Eternal Return’, then there’s the one in Denver, Colorado called ‘Convergence Station’, and the most recent one is in Dallas, Texas called ‘The Real Unreal’. If Jesse wants to take Mathas to one, they’re currently building one in Houston, Texas.

The whole idea of a LARP where everyone is an npc is the entire plot of an American dad episode, (season 11 ep14), where Steve and his friends all claim to love the very first act of the very first star wars movie, and that's it. They LARP living as a town of dirt farmers on some random no-name planet. It's a hilarious concept.

When we ran a Vampire the Masquerade LARP many, many moons ago, we had several players who were just NPCs. We had meetings with those players prior to the session to explain what the overall plot for the session was, and then just let them do what they wanted with that bit of extra info. My sister's husband who had never roleplayed anything joined a session as a Toreador Ghoul DJ during a huge block party hosted by the Prince and he had a blast. We even got some off duty city cops and the local Domino's pizza place involved. I don't LARP often anymore as free time is so rare, but those sessions were a ton of fun.

In the last LARP campaign I played my group played mainly economic characters, and we ran the bar and acted as the town merchants. It was a ton of fun!

ok, so 1) loki season 2 was AMAZING and basically ties the whole mcu together... more like.. weaves. 2) i already came up with the idea of "Cantina, a Star Wars Story," based on The Max Rebo Band, and Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes, and all their background drama... hookers, murder, drug use, the whole 9 yards, and it would be ENTIRELY done in their languages, with sub titles, with the same level of tension as Andor. no space scooter gangs, just sheer tension and drama. but yeah, Star Wars slice of life is exactly what a lot of us want now... give us that dirty, gritty, dark corner of the Star Wars universe. no Jedi, no Sith... just common people living in this EXPANSIVE universe they've created. we don't need big names... just GOOD science fiction set in this universe!

In Swedish LARPing we do have plenty of "normal people just going through their life"-roles. I've never played a weapon-carrying role in all my years of LARPing. It sometimes scares the shit out of you but it's great fun! OH and everyone knows it's the musicians who are the popular people, no-one cares about the "brave soldiers". We are in character 24/7 if we're in the LARP area and you can only go off if you leave the premises. We cook in character, sleep in character and everything in between.

One of the tabletop games I love running is a game called Kagagami High. Where you play "Japanese school girls" (this is because character creation is random and you can be things that are not that) and everything in the game is also random and you just reference tables from the book which by the way has a table in the back simply listing all the different tables in it. Everytime I've run it me and my players spend half the time laughing at the ridiculous scenarios the game gives us. Heck character creation ends up taking an hour or so because we just keep laughing at how ridiculous the character gets. Highly recommend.

The Film Moon with Sam Rockwell is actually ruined by the trailer. I've been told by people who hadn't seen the trailer that it was great. i told them what was in the trailer and they were like WHAT why would they put that in the trailer!? So yup i'm on the... no trailers if i care train. Also what happened to teaser trailers? they seem like less of a thing these days ... and i feel we need them more I was really suprised with the Barbie movie that the first "trailer" with 2001 reference was literally just the beginning 2mins? of the film.

Hi! European LARP'er here, Just want to say that yes go LARP, tho i have a feeling Jesse will just wrack havoc and that okay! Second breakfest is DOPE, but you can also go be a wizard in school (think HP but distinctly not HP), both in the UK and in Poland. Bothwell is the name of the game in the UK dodger look it up since its in your contry maybe it be somting for you. in Poland Collage of wizardry, Will have it 10 year adversary game this Autumn! that may sound intimidating but i promis you you don't need to know anything you don't nesearely need much of a costume. So if you want to try and take your PnP experiance to the real world i can recomend it! There are a ton of games you don't need to fight and are alot more Slice of life then anything else Rant over, have a nice day! if any one want to know more about larping i'll gladly rant alot more!
