This is another Alex Lely special 😉💪. He's had me doing this a lot. I do this for about 10-15 minutes every other day right now. Pays off BIG TIME in a match being comfortable with these types of safties.

5:12 Under estimate this drill? This is one of the most difficult drills I've seen. I tapped the thumbs up 👍 button to feed the algorithm monsters with some top right English.

Keep them coming, this is more valuable than any pocketing drill because typically it's not covered to the same extent.

Thanks Neils! The visuals/demos show the pathways "of intent"; speed is key. Yep, most each table will be different -- reason for testing. Again, Thanks! Be Safe

@6:07 in this position you have left your opponent an fairly easy bank cross-side. I feel like even in the first shot you should try to create more separation.

Greetings, Terminator! I'm hoping that you can help me out with a question... During the match between Ko Yi & Kaci. Right around the 50:30 mark, Kaci appears to make slight contact with his pinking finger against the 8 ball, as he bridged up for a shot on another ball. Folks in the comment section are saying the ref missed this blatant foul. In APA we simply place the ball were it was and continue play. Here the 8 wasn't moved at all. What are the rules regarding this. Thanks!

don't really understand the purpose of right spin applied to two shots on 7:15. Both of them looked like they would be closer to the rail without it and the scratch wasn't even close

I play a lot of one pocket and all the examples leave me a easy bank. Is there a way to tighten up the safes?
@nakke3
@nakke3 6 ай бұрын
This is safeties for 9/10-ball. You can leave a bank if it doesn't give natural or easily controlable position. You can also try to play the split in a way that the bank is not on like after the opening shot you only leave cut bank to the corner, but doing so your usually risking to leave the ob on to the center. Remember that most of the time in a tournament (the only matches that matter for your ranking) you are not on your home table so the banks are not most likely identical and playing rotation you don't get enough repetition to figure the difficult ones out. These kind of safeties have won me about 75% of the frames when playing "your type" of opponent that thinks every bank goes like on the best day at the home club table. Really those opponents attack because they don't have the arsenal presented on the video, so the best bet for them is the bank.

I agree, table, light, moisture, table age all matters in case of bank, normal level getting tough bank and also position is always tough, I take on bank only when I know I can pot 7 out of 10 probability

@@swarnendubiswas4712 Moisture came into play in a crazy way when I played a few times in an outside tournament in the Finnish Diamond Summer Tour. Tents kept the tables dry 😄 Biggest differences usually of course come from just different brands of tables and almost as big of an impact comes from the wear of the rail cloth.

Agree, but like in one pocket as in all pool games, the best safe is to put the cue ball close to, if not frozen, to the rails.
@hlongvn4258
@hlongvn4258 6 ай бұрын
A lot of the time, you cant afford to have perfect safety shot, best you can do is create distance and froze the cue ball to the rail.

I have to hammer *SOMETiMES DUCK!* into my head beFore playing an opponent, and this will do it. Defense is crucial to excellent play, at least as elementary as great shot-making/shaping.
