Man, I already responded to a comment like this, but I guess I’ll leave a reply here too, lol. I said “no reload needed,” not “auto-reloading.” A “no reload needed” medallion would essentially give your guns bottomless mags so you can spray till all ammo you’ve accumulated is gone. Think the early-Chapter-1 minigun, where you could infinitely fire all 999 of your small ammo without interruption. That’s way too strong, especially nowadays when players actually know what they’re doing. That’s why every version of the minigun since then overheats after holding fire long enough. Reloading gives players on the receiving end of gunfire breathing room. If a player is boxed up in their builds trying to heal and their opponent’s AR has a bottomless magazine, the opponent will just infinitely pressure, and the player will have no time to even attempt healing. They’ll just be forced into constantly placing builds to keep themselves protected. The player may very well crack under the pressure since bullets can bleed through structures at times, and there’s the possibility of running out of materials before the opponent exhausts all their ammo. Night Rose’s medallion replenishes ammo over time in chunks. Your weapons can very easily outpace the regeneration. You even still go through the reload animation if you fully empty your mag before the medallion's effect kicks in. It’s a decent medallion, but not what I was describing when I said "no reload needed."

I actually liked chapter 5, season 1. Most fun I've had in a season in ages. Ranked felt nice, and the weapons were fun as well. Competetive was really good too. There were some problems with movement early season, but overall I thought it was refreshing and I always love a spy or agent theme :) This is just my opinion tho

Wow, lots to say here 1: Chapter 5 was far into development before season OG was released and I don't even think the higher ups at Epic were expecting it to be that much of a success, but by that time it was already too late to course correct, they basically had to commit to what they had already made. 2: Complain about collabs all you want but they're keeping this game relevant and alive after all these years, I know this video just came out but just look at the most recent event, so many people I know wanted to hop on just to see Juice Wrld. Hell, just look at every event that was a concert or a collab related event (Travis Scott, Galactus, etc). Those always do the highest numbers than any other event. People that HATE Fortnite are wanting to give it a try just because of Godzilla, or hell look at last year with Peter Griffin. You get the point, I have no idea why we're this far into this games life and people are still bitching about collabs, if they truly made the game worse, and nobody liked them, than they wouldn't keep making them 3: Fortnite is a platform now, as much as you want to trash on that fact, creative maps and other epic made modes outside of br related ones make up half of the playerbase daily. Doesn't mean I like it fully or that you can't criticize the direction they are taking the game, but it's just a hard fact. They want as many people as possible playing Fortnite, even people who don't care for shooting games, they have so many ips in this game at this point that Fortnite has become a more social game like Roblox or Minecraft. 4: If these new cosmetics and items to buy weren't selling they wouldn't bother putting them in the shop anymore or they would just lower the price like they did the instruments and cars, they stopped even putting Lego sets in the shop because even though the mode is decently popular, I highly doubt anyone is spending 20 dollars on virtual Lego for one mode Overall, not a bad video, I do agree with a lot of your criticisms of Chapter 5 gameplay wise, and it seems like Epic is listening already with Chapter 6. I just personally don't understand your attitude against Fortnite becoming more than what it was, games like these evolve, and keeping everything basic and the same doesn't keep a game like this alive and thriving. Experimenting is good, but it can also result in failure, and even though I mostly enjoyed Chapter 5, it is clear that older chapters just had the more all around better feeling gameplay and game loop.

10:05 the problem with this medallion was that the boss dropped the boom bow which needed rocket ammo and it negated the downside of the weapon entirely 10:40 dash medallion literally won players games bc noone else would have them endgame unless it was at the underworld (or have them anywhere else on the map anyway) 34:45 my biggest gripe besides cars was that there was way too much mobility in this season with the fists and it was rlly hard to track players that used them also thank you for explaining bloom, i knew it was some kind of randomizer but i didnt know it actually depended on the crosshair other than this i wanna say i agree with mostly everything else and great job on the editing and the concept solutions like the reserve shield and the doodles throughout!

@@CossmoDudedood in the video obviously didn’t play the game TOO much either if he says the Boss weapons in Chapter 2 weren’t overpowered or the Cerberus Medallion was fair… nah, of all the medallions, that one was genuinely a game breaker… you absolutely could not land at Grim Gate without 30-50 other players landing there for it. Also… Yeah… getting exposed on the map IS a detriment, because it means a better player mostly likely CAN and WILL rock you because they constantly get notified where you go and in Season 1… the map had a few open areas for that, and a good player will know where you are with the medallion circles. Chapter 5 had some arguably good changes like mods and the fact the Battle Passes were all pretty good. But it is still mid, I don’t think it’s amazing but people need to chill and have the mic taken away from them before saying stuff like that. The season 1 medallion were FINE, mostly because everyone was still bad in that first week.

as much as i agree with the chapter 5 and chapter 2 remix criticisms, it’s important to note that the game isn’t just a battle royale game now, but more so a platform. however, the locker and shop UI shouldn’t be cluttered with so many things at once just because there are extra modes in the game. i want battle royale in a battle royale section, festival in a festival section, lego in a lego section, and so forth. it’s just too much at this point, can be overwhelming even for new players knowing how much crap there is on the menu screen

There's a reason i find myself playing STW every now and then, because Epic stopped updating it, however sad that is, it still has the same feel that fortnite had almost 5 years ago. And the gameplay isnt crowded, its just "shoot zombies, build forts, and complete the objective", its a nice break from the chaos that is modern day BR. Also classic weapons that havent been seen in BR in years still remain in STW.

So many people say that mod benches should have been more accessible, but I feel like that would have ruined the whole point of mods in the first place I feel like mods were added to make a stagnant loot pool more varied. Mod benches completely ruin this idea by giving the play the ability to edit their loot pool. In my opinion the game would have been so much better if there was no mod benches, since it would have also allowed epic to buff the different mods since the players can no longer just put all the best mods on their guns. Another cool thing would have been legendary mods which exist in a fifth slot and change something fundamental about the gun (I'm not good at ideas but maybe something like fire bullets, explosive bullets, make the bullets deal 20% of their damage directly to the health of the player) so that it would be even harder to choose between a green pistol with a legendary mod and a purple pistol with no good mods.

Honestly this video just came across as really just pessimistic. I understand Chapter 5 had more than its fair share of issues, I absolutely had mine and do agree that this is by far the weakest chapter Fortnite has ever had but to just say that absolutely every aspect suck just comes across as really tone deaf and just an unwillingness to change because like it or not I highly doubt you would be playing this game if it stayed exactly the same as it was when you found it the most interesting or enjoyable. Change whether good or bad keeps things interesting and keeps things from growing too stale. However all throughout it just seemed like there was an unwillingness to change and try new things and just shove it off as “it sucks”. I understand all the points and issues you take with this Chapter but to some extent I have to say it is really blown out of proportion.

I feel like I have a good idea for medallions. Bring back the original ones, but for each medallion you pick up, it reduces your overall max HP by 10-15 (I think 15 is more fair), so it discourages picking all of them up. If you *do* pick them all up, you will have a max HP of 25, which will be less HP than a revived player, making them very vulnerable to multiple things. 1. Storm. 2. Fall Damage. 3. Fire. This will force them to be more creative, and more strategic in their play, as they can’t build up anymore (risking fall damage), they will usually try and be near the centre of zone or risk dying to it, and will usually run away immediately if you have anything fire related. It may not be perfect, and I think the medallions might need to be tweaked slightly in this version, but I think these could work well in game for Chapter 6. Oh, and before I forget, the medallions are always 100% accurate on the map, with minimal delay. As in, it will track your every move precisely, instead of leaving random bubbles on the map it will follow you perfectly in motion.

Thank you for not just making it a metaverse critique. So many people have made videos "critiquing" chapter 5 hust for 90% of it to be about the metaverse and 5% to hr a sponsor segment, leading to only 5% a critique of the actual gameplay. While I did really enjoy C5S4, C5S1 and C5S2 were painfully boring and C5S3 is legitimately a bottom 3 season of all time and one of the least fun gameplay experiences I've ever had because the horrific lack of balance. There was the occasional really fun weapon like the revamped DMRs, the monarch pistol, and the enforcer AR once I got good and realized it wasn't shit, I was, but the rest of the weapons that weren't special mythics weren't crazy. The new movement in C5S1 before the buff was awful, the chaoter got incredibly repetitive, and the one time it wasn't, it was one of the biggest pieces if shit of all time. Epic has to have one of the worst balance groups of any corporation. I'm really glad that chapter 2 remix came out after and was a really nice refresh, and it looks like chapter 6 is already going in a much better direction, especially with returning to a more simplistic state

the problem with having shield reserves though is it takes away the point of having shield pots in your backpack since you already have an extra 50-100 health. adding on to that at that point they should just increase the health from 200 to 300. it wouldnt work.

Chapter 1 had a nice feel to it. The cartoonist style and colours give a great vibe. Nice loot pools in most seasons. Skins and emotes were good. I used to complain about mechs and planes (still annoying af) but there have been worse items in the game. Chapter 2 felt slow to start, but it really grew on me. I loved chapter 2 season 2 the most (I know, just like so many other peope), and had a lot of fun with friends playing the game. It felt really refreshing as a chapter. Season 3 I regret not playing much. Season 4 was one of my favourites, again. Chapter 5 was a chapter I thought would be worse - I expected to hate it. Surprisingly, i loved it. The start felt really refreshing and I loved the guns and new cars. New map felt well planned and I liked the vibe. Season 2 didn't catch me on at the start. Really wasn't attracted to it. At some point, I gave it a try, and it felt nice apart form some items. Loved the hades dashes. Season 3 was really not my cup of tea at the start. It felt so up to luck with all of the broken items like fists and cars. At some p9int I tried it out and the map and vibe felt nice. I like to play competitively. This season felt like it was trying to force me to play casual. Regret not playing much, still got to lv 100 tho. Really looks like it is underappreciated. Season 4 had a really nice vibe. Reminded me of the older marvel season back in chapter 2. Didn't play much, but from what I did play, I liked. There were a few bad items though.

Wrecked was divisive, but I was way too into the season. Absolute Doom and Myths & Monsters were by far not worth any hype given. Everybody wanted M&M and AD to just end. "I miss Don" is still an inside joke amongst our group. Wrecked was easily a top 3 season, right under Chapter 4 Season 2 and Chapter 6 Season 1. Chapter 2 Season 2 isn't even a top 5 season for me.

ok At 0:38 he claims he didnt like the direction the game was going and that og was better, and the only reason he mentioned for it being better is solely simplicity. Can we agree that 2:08 is a blatant lie? While i can agree with the fact that having infinite shield is op, and that it grants the holder an advantage to everyone else, its dishonest to make it look as if chapter 5 is the only chapter were defeating a boss grants an advantage. Vaults exist. At 5:59 he says "Screw these kinds of players" referencing players that use medallions. That is dumb. He's basically getting angry at the people who dont put themselves at a disadvantage, and for what? Did he not pick them up immediately after? and even if he didnt, you cant get angry at somebody doing what they can to win the game, especially when they worked for it (im saying this because even though spamming nitro fists counts as doing what you have to win, there is zero skill involved). I do think it was better when no matter where you dropped everyone was equal, but i think we can all agree that medallions take either skill to get, or luck to get, he took a point that made sense and proved that he doesnt really know what hes saying. At 8:42, he says it disrupts the games ecosystem but again, i think mythic weapons gave a similar effect. I think its dishonest to compare the medaalions to the infinity blade instead of something like oceans bottomless chug jug. Sure, medallions are better in terms of convenience, but something like the mythic mk-alpha i think is on par or more extreme than having a medallion, as with medallions, in a direct fight the holder wont gain much benefit because he will have to take more hits, while the infinity blade and mechs werent made with the games continued normalcy taken into account, and was meant to be overpowered. 10:59 is super hypocritical, claiming that the machinist's medallion is weaker than infinite nitro is crazy. And i say hypocritical because in this video he makes it clear that he does not respect people that use new things in fortnite. 13:03, in certain situations, this is true, but when everybody is trying to get that medallion specifically (which was always happening), knowing the location of everybody else is basically useless, as even in that doodle, he knows where they are but he is still surrounded. 14:01 is just dumb. This is EXACTLY like saying "None of the chapter 1 medallions were broken, shield potions exist". Again he makes me feel as if he himself doesnt know what hes saying, before he said that medallions were over powered because they gave a clear advantage to people holding over those manually replenishing shield, and while i think this argumment makes sense, he completely contradicts himself by saying that the cerberus medallion wasnt op because everybody could have the styx water. Everybody could in theory have the styx water, but thats incorrect because, 1. Not everyone can drop underworld, shocking. 2. The cerberus medallion has INFINITE uses of the dash. 14:32 would have been true but the flare gun was not common at all. Not really part of my argument but saying things like 30:10 give this video the feeling of someone complaining instead of someone explaining what was wrong with a the chapter. At 31:02 i think its ok to say that if he had good teammates he stood a chance. Cars were op but thats not called car vs player thats called 3v1. At 33:58 is where you get him basically complaining about change. thats all. thats what he said. 34:31 Building is a core part of fortnites identity, with his logic every single season that is unique like the alien season should have a new gamemode, which i think we can all agree is a stupid thing to say. 36:24 is just pathetic, the way he sees something he cant beat but just doesnt choose to disengage, in a lot of clips he shows where he calls something op, its usually just him straight up being stupid. 38:08 also shows the guy just complaining, he is indeed right to be angry, but also after that he just comes across as bitter. 41:42 is hypocritical again, he tries to say hes above these things but in other seasons hes using the overpowered stuff but its because "its fun". For his rant about bullet drop, it would not be healthy to add scopes for every weapon and the make it hitscan. i think we are experiencing this with the holo twister ar. And everything else he says about bullet drop being equal to bad aim is just false. He claims that bullet drop makes the aiming friendly for new players, but that is just straight up untrue. Saying hitscan is harder to ,master than bullet drop is just a lie. He also says instead of letting the player grow, it brings down everyone to their level, but then later he says that it makes the bad players worse and the good players better. He is contradicting himself again, and when he was saying that good players get better nonsense, he was literally just describing skill. Which does he stand by, bullet drop is for bad players, or its for good players, and since when was it bad for good players to be better than bad? If you carefully watch that segment youll understand that hes saying pure nonsense. At 49:15 he literally explains why the change makes sense. I dont feel like talking about that stupid section anymore, so ill just say, why does he say bullet travel and drop aids new players and then for the rest of the segment he explains why it takes more skill??? For remix he insults the celebrities which again makes him sound bitter, and as a lego fortnite enjoyer i think its wrong for him to talk on behalf of the player base, he says its wrong because fortnite is about shooting, but my guy, just play what you want! Cars have always been my favorite rotation item in this game so I actually thrived during Wrecked but I'm still massively disappointed that car cosmetics have pretty much guaranteed that the Whiplash is the only car in the game going forward. I feel like the main problem is not even the new collabs and stuff, it’s the fact that Fortnite has gone from I’m simplistic gameplay, trying to create realism, the game was easy to understand even with a little lack of knowledge didn’t really change much. The game also lost its storyline which gave it its character as well as its cartoony features. On top of this many players are either in high school or grown now, and aren’t dumb little kids anymore who is easy to manipulate into spending for v-bucks on the newest Battle pass, so all of these random characters and ideas are not selling for the majority of user who are usually 15 years old and on up,what I’m really saying is the game has no direction and most of the time it’s just a money grab and this has caused resentment from many players especially the veteran players
