Leader of the Brexit Party Nigel Farage's reaction to the exit poll.
The Brexit Party is not expected to win any seats tonight but party leader Nigel Farage tells the BBC's Andrew Neil: "If we get Brexit, we've done a good job."
However, he adds that if Boris Johnson's Brexit deal passes unamended "I can't bring myself to support it."
He thinks it'll result in a closer relationship with the EU going forward than he'd like.
"My purpose was to try to get right kind of Brexit - if we get half a loaf out of it - that is what we achieved," he says.
Asked if he will now step down from politics, he says: "Let's see where we are in six months - I may have to throw my hat back into the ring."
On his own vote, he says he couldn't bring himself to support the Conservatives so he spoiled his ballot paper.
"How I voted under this system is pretty irrelevant," he adds attacking first-past-the-post.

The Conservatives are set to win an overall majority of 86 in the general election, according to an exit poll for the BBC, ITV and Sky News.
The survey taken at UK polling stations suggests the Tories will get 368 MPs - 50 more than at the 2017 election - when all the results have been counted.
Labour would get 191, the Lib Dems 13, the Brexit Party none and the SNP 55.
The Green Party will still have one MP and Plaid Cymru will lose one seat for a total of three, the survey suggests.
The first general election results are due before midnight, with the final total expected to be known by Friday lunchtime.

@@asytippyy352 Ben Shapiro is not someone I respect, for essentially the same reason. He is constantly unpleasant and full of vitriol, and holds his audience by maintaining a demeanor of fabricated outrage. He is a childish man, and his presence in the world makes people's lives and minds worse. But he is not much of an exception; we have a rather infantile and disrespectful media culture in general nowadays, and saying people "should know what to expect" does not excuse it. I'd recommend you go watch some old episodes of "Firing Line" from the 60s, 70s and 80s to see people of entirely different ideologies debating with one another respectfully, with good humor and treating each other as human beings. We have a powerful case of generational amnesia when it comes to the level of decorum and politeness we expect from the discussions in our news media. And they're not just ruder now--they're stupider too. Full of shouty emotional "reactions" and bad-faith roleplaying rather than genuine thoughtful communication between intelligent adults. The state of our media discussions is just despicable, frankly. We used to expect so much more maturity from the people who represented us on major issues. We expected them to be even more mature and thoughtful than the average person, in fact.

@@pragmatist165 Most sensible people are happy for their countries to take in genuine refugees and I don't think even Farage has issues with that. He was critical about western nations bringing in large groups of single young men - surely any actual group of refugees would also have women and children alongside? I can't think of many people who would praise Merkel for the unmanageable amount of immigration she has subjected Germany to. Are you really saying that it hasn't caused them problems? Only a troll would argue that huge waves of immigrants coming into a country in a short space of time is fine and dandy. It's a massive strain on infrastructure, housing, jobs, medical care, etc. Having more control on immigration (not doing away with it) is something which is practical, not racist. I say this as a non-white person by the way.
