I just purchased my first one and I loved how you said you didn't the turn the power off and didn't read the instructions made me think of my Dad. He would always say "Na It'll be Alright". Thanks for the KZbin Video and I think now I can install mine and not have to wait on my husband... :)

Put mine on and when you snap it on where it's flush it doesn't work I guess because the power prongs go back too far. ☹️ I would rather have mine flush with just the plate. So I guess I'll stick with my bath and body works scented night light things cause I am ocd about crap like that 😂

i got two of these things from ebay and couldn't get it to work. Do i need to tighten the lower screws on the outlet or loosen it... it makes good contact but does not light up. I'm thinking it's defective.

Mine stays on all the time. Is there any way to increase/decrease the sensor's sensitivity?

Make sure the ground plug hole of the receptacle outlet is on the down side otherwise the cover won't work if the receptacle is upside down with the ground plug hole on top.

Is it on all the time ? I Thought it was a motion sensor and turns on in the dark ?

no, it's not a motion sensor. it's a photo sensor that detects the incoming light when if bright enough, will turn off or dim the LEDs. if installed in an area that doesn't get much light even during the daytime, then the LEDs will always be on.

Interesting products but sometimes electricians wrap electrical tape around those screws when they install an outlet. Especially if it's in a metal box. That would be something I would suggest people look out for before buying this product.

Just ordered a 10pk on eBay for $18 bucks. They are knock offs but work better than this brand here. The sensors are way better and they are working great.

It has 3 out of 5 stars on Amazon. I think $12 is not cheap for something that got only a 3 star rating.
