Hey I just wanted to write this comment to thank you. I had a big anxiety attack the night before a big midterm just before graduation however your advice just calmed me down a lot. Might not see this but really appreciate you.

2:30 am oral german exam tomorrow/today..... I've been in bed since 11pm and with only 3hrs of sleep the day before.... never had these problems in school and uni 😔

My problem is that I actually know these solutions because i’ve experienced them. They all worked in the beginning. But now as I know all those solutions, I even know that I may not think and need to stop caring so much but then, always, when it’s working my mind says: “Oh the trick is working, nice!” BAM I’m wide awake again. When not caring it’s saying: “Good this is working” but then again the same sentence:”This trick is working, nice!” Then I just keep on “Not caring” but this stuff just keeps on happening even when doing all these solutions to really be able to fall asleep well then my mind says:”Stop trying so hard”. Today I drank 3 Coffees before noon, normally I drink 5 coffees and a monster and that’s latest 5pm so I felt tired today all for nothing to happen I really hate this. I will have exam today Wish me luck.

thank you. im suffering from crippeling ocd and life is tough sometimes because of it.. i was isolated in 3 years withoiut seing anybody else than my dentist. one time.. no single person, i was really destroyed.. now i slowly begin to do stuff again, took the train a couple of times for the first time in many years.. tomorrow (in 3 hours) i have to go to an health class, in order to take my driver license, and i cant sleep.. first time i have to be among alot of people in years.. first 5 hours trying to fall afsleep i could feel my hearth in my thorat.. i was shaking, everytime i felt afsleep for 10 sec i woke up shaking with high pulse, BOOM awake.. i needed to know this.. that i can stil be good wihtout sleep.. life is going in the right direction for once.. destroying this is a tought i cannot have... thank you for this video, subscribed and liked.

Man I have continues exams i wouldn't sleep the whole night and i dont feel sleepy i try to go to sleep but i can't.

Is purposely having a bad sleep two nights before good, so that you fall asleep better the night before the exam

This is a great question! I would not recommend doing this because sleep is all about rhythm, the more rhythm you can get in the easier it will be. So deliberately sleeping poorly would only make that rhythm harder.

That is a great question. Never take any medicine without consulting a healthcare provider. Since I am not a healthcare provider, I cannot offer any opinion on this! I recommend talking to your doctor.

@@stirl0E like 4 or 5 days before the exam start waking up super early. I started waking up at 7:30am everyday cuz I have insomnia. doing this made me fall asleep before 12am the night before the exam.

@@stirl0E I can relate. The night before my physics MOCK I stayed up till 6am and had to get up at 7am and when I got home I needed to take a nap ofc and it still took me like 1 hour to fall asleep. Another thing I do which helps me sleep is I download a video, like a bunch of motivational calm videos, mostly by the KZbinr thewizardliz, and I put my phone under my pillow and I just focus on what she says instead of my thoughts and fall asleep. I usually put them on 1.5x speed so I'm not like "oh no the video was like 30 mins long and it's over this means Ive been awake for 30 mins"
