This is a beginners guide for people who are looking to start 30k Night Lords with different lists and ideas on how you can run different Night Lords Lists

hey Kalax... i'm considering starting a fluffy version of the 30k Night Lords Army. but my question is as follows: what should it consist of? so far i'm of the belief it should be mostly fast and brutral attack choices with limited or none heavy support. so mostly Jet Bikes, Jump Squads, Raptors and A LOT! of legionares. but i'm not sure tho. can you help out? oh and of course the characters of the Night Lords such as Curze, Sevatarion and Talos should be in there. (there's more, but can't remember them right now) in advance thanks for the help.

Hello there, sorry for the very slow reply , in all honesty a night lords force should be what u want it to be, if u want it to be a fast moving army then sure thing they can do that, if u want it to be an armoured spearhead, they can do that as well. sure it wouldnt be a common sight in the 8th legion but they did have armoured companies and stuff. u can do a fast list, like u have mentioned urself with jump squads and raptors and bikes, land speeders could be a very interesting choice as well. there is a right of war that lets u take raptors as troops, so maybe thats something that would suit ur play style? its about what u want ur army to be like and dont let anyone tell u otherwise, just enjoy the hobby :)

Thanks :) so far I have settled with the rite of terror I believe it's called. But I have never tried a single 30k game yet. Have only played 40k so don't quite know how the rites work yet... My army is a 1000 points only right now. Just put together the list today. It consists of 1 praetor, 2 squads of tac marines as troops, 5 termites with their sergeant all with lightning claws and lastly a single contemptor dreadnought. With upgrades and all listed it is 1000 points.

i think u mean the terror assault rite of war? which lets u take terror squads as troops? if that the rite of war u are going for then u HAVE TO take terror squads as troops and u must have 3 troops choices, which must all be terror squads, so i hope that helps/clears things up a bit. 30k is not that much different to 40k but think its a lot more interesting in my opinion. i would try ,if u can, to get some sort of transports forthe squads, as at the moment the list seems to lack aggression and protection, hope that helps

+Kalax Games “Kalax” it really helps. But I just need this 1000pts list build quickly for a game next week. and those 1000 were the demand. I have no transport as of yet. neither have I any terror squads. But in the near future I hope to get some.... do I have to choose a rite of war for all my games or is it optional? also was thinking of a drop pod or dreadclaw as dedicated transport. lastly would I pay out in the long run to give my hq a bodyguard group :)

it all depends if u can get more stuff or not for ur army? if u cant get anything else then i can possibly throw some suggestions ur way, otherwise u will have to work with what u have, which might be a bit tricky but i guess it will show u what things u will need to get. u dont have to have a right of war no, but it does usually give u a pretty decent bonus if u do, so i would advice runnign some sort of rite of war but it is optional. drop pods and claws are a good shout. and i would personally use a terror squad as a bodyguard unit for the praetor,or alternatively stick him in with the termies
