This is such a great little movie with two fantastic female leads hitting exactly the right tone. It's miniscule budget works in the movies favour& some cracking one liners -- particularly one involving banana land, the other involving arseholes. A knowing cast of character actors woronov, Geoffrey Lewis etc. For years I thought it shot in Dallas (due I think to the TV series making me think everything shot there at the time). I also liked Crawford's Jake speed which is as daft AND fun. Stewart and maroney are the glue that holds the movie together with their natural charm and chemistry. Great stuff Great review

I just discovered this movie and find it underrated, even by many of its fans. Yes it's witty and more 80s than any 80s throwback movie, and that's cool. But it also looks good, has an eery atmosphere, good pacing, a few clever twists and a well integrated, rarely seen message about staying optimistic and moral in the face of tragedy. I also really like that the disagreeable scientist lady is actually a hero while the nice ones are horribly evil.

Began viewing at age 12. I probably watched it on cable many, many times. I can recite almost EVERY line. Over the years when I'd spot actors from it I'd FLIP OUT. When Robert Beltran was cast in Star Trek Voyager I immediately recognized him. The guy who played Larry has been in just about everything!

Absolutely LOVE this movie. Watched it again this morning. I watch this flick at least 3 times a year I Love it so much. Eighties movies were the best in my opinion. Of course the young ladies made the Flick a Cult following for sure. Now I am looking for "Night of the Comet" T-Shirts and memorabilia to adorn my music room. Cheers my friend, and happy reviewing!
