I bought these before they even literally came out. I was one of first to own it. It’s a nice night vision set up. For what it’s worth. It’s not military grade but for civilian usage, helps. For about $300, it’s worth it in my opinion. Also: get the rhino mount and j hook. It wont stick out so far with the rhino. You can see your feet when walking, the closer it can be sat on your eye hole, the better the operation.

@@Maineoffgrid-cd6br The helmet usually has what looks like bungee cords with hooks that run around on each side to the front. It’s meant to hook around the RHINO mount when its folded up, it secures the mount from falling back down when jumping around and things. Helps especially when you have something like a NVG attached

Good video bro, think I’ll grab a set. 14’s are better but not by much and the price difference more than bridges this gap. Let talk about you walking with them. Be cool, you’ve been bite already so you know. Think of it as compass, it’s telling me right way but I have to get there. One night eye. One NVG eye… takes 15 mins for night eye to get right with no light. Be still. Once you can see 10 or so feet… proceed. Target ID is done with NVG eye. Think about an apache pilot. Sees pretty good with right. Figures out what’s up with left. If u have NVG on weapon and use on night eye… 15 mins. Don’t rush the clock if it’s not a must.

It is a little funny walking in them, but I've even talked to green berets that's said it's always weird to walk with nvgs. It takes hundreds on hundreds of hours to get really used to them. I think it is nice to be able to see people, but also have situation awareness, with your normal eye. I haven't bought one yet, but I think it would be awesome to have a ir laser on my gun. Then you could really shoot good.

It’s hard to walk with any night vision on especially in the woods. It takes a lot of getting used to it’s never fluid walking at night with them on I used to use them when I was in the army. Also driving at night with them on is very sketchy

Out where i live is extremly dark and i require gen 3 analog to do anything when i get closer into town is where i run into problems due to urban lighting which is why im looking at getting a digital unit just farting around in urban areas thanks you for the video

The original night operator pro was dropshipped by a lot of people, but this new nvd is only made by night operator as far as I believe

Yes sir. Anyone with real analog night vision will see you from a mile away. If you use these in SHTF you will most likely be toast

It does not work without the IR light on. Most second Gen night vision work pretty well without the IR light, but this nod is digital and useless without it

No, I wouldn't worry about using it in the rain, but I would not say it's waterproof.
