Happy Monday! What’s one thing you do to wind down at night?

I watch TV and crochet for a half hour after I put my 1 yo to bed. But I want to start alternating that with reading instead.

This is such a sweet night time routine. I love how you and your husband switch when it comes to dinner time - alternating who cooks & who is with baby. That’s a great idea! Deff puts less stress on the one who is cooking - they can just focus on the food lol 😃

I enjoy watching your family videos! I am a grandma of four (all out of state), so it is delightful to watch! Megan, if I may say, you and your husband are beautiful parents. God bless you and your family!

I love that Matt does bath time with Rowan. Me and my bf were talking about sahm’s and we felt that dads don’t get as much of a connection but that seems like a great way for dad to get bonding time to.

This was so nice to see! I'm going to start trying to get my son to help me pick up his toys at night too. I just had an idea for a fun video I wanted to share in case it inspires you: outdoor fall activities for toddlers. Now that it's cooler and less mosquitos in our yard I want to think of more ways to spend time outside. So far I've come up with washing toys in a dishpan, chalk on the driveway, playing with balls... They're not especially fall themed but I'll keep thinking about it.

Hello Megan! I was wondering what time does Rowan go to bed? my baby is the same age and we are strugling for him to go to bed early, the second nap is throwing off the schedule but if he doesnt take it is worse. Any tips?
@Matt_Acuna3 жыл бұрын
Some nights it flexes but typically dinner is at 630 followed by bath around 7 and he’s usually down by 730. We try not to let him nap past 430-500 to lengthen that last wake window.

I love your night routine video, I got a lot out of it and ideas.. as I have a almost one year old little boy as well! Can I make a sweet suggestion? I noticed you prayed over his food.. I don’t do that, but may start! I do however, say a prayer aloud over my son every night before bed time. I tell him how perfect he was made, how wanted and loved he is...I pray the angels watch over him always, and that God helps him be the best he that he can be and keep him safe always. I’m not the most religious person, but I think it’s so important to have sweet afrimations for him to hear before bedtime (As I saw you did do :) and for him to one day decide if he wants a relationship with God. ♥️

@alicsakurai3 жыл бұрын
Hey Megan, how did you slowly reduce the feedings. My little girl is just over a year old and she still feeds whenever she wants as I can’t seem to get her to drink water or milk (I don’t offer anything else) and I don’t want her to get dehydrated.

Communication is important! I still struggle with selfishness after working 8-5 and all I want to do is nap or play games, but Megan works hard all day AND looks after Rowan when work calls me away. Being a dad is about stepping up and setting your own needs aside, but it can be hard to get there. 14.5 months and it’s still hard some days.
