In this video:
This is our second day in a row fishing. My buddy Darren and I. Still beat up from fishing the night before we have a little late start on the day. We start trolling off the reefs edge right before sunset. We saw lots of fish action and did land a fish, but next time I will troll ballyhoo which I think will produce more fish.
The sun is almost setting and we run the the reefs edge in around 60ft deep water. Between 20ft and 100ft. Right at the drop off. We chum and it doesn't take long for the fish to show up. It's pretty much non-stop fishing action on the patch reef at night.
We catch schoolmaster snapper, grouper of various sorts, mangrove/gray snapper, mutton snapper, yellowtail snapper and some others. Can't wait to cook them!
We also throw out the big boy rod and caught ourselves a massive shark. That was a back breaker for Darren. And no Key Largo fishing trip is complete without cooking some burgers on the boat. After we eat our burgers we fish some more and then run back to my marina in Key Largo.
We put the snapper on ice and add the ones we caught from the day before. The next day we relax and finally get enough energy to fillet the fish. We catch clean and cook them for a great dinner. Man do I love these catch and cook fishing videos.
If you enjoyed this video hit that like button and subscribe to my channel, I appreciate all the help you guys give me in the comments and look forward to making many more videos to help show how to catch fish.

Give you another tip. Instead of using a 3 lb weight on your trolling lures, use 3 one pound weights. Put a plastic squid rig on the weights, making a "daisy chain". Of course, spread them out by a few feet. Put your lure at the end of course. Works much better

Are you sure the fish at 25:00 is a schoolmaster and not a dog snapper? I noticed its got that white streak mark running vertically under its eye and I don't think schoolmasters have that mark under their eye. I could be wrong though I'm not too sure. They both look VERY similar.

Hey bud I been watching your videos for a while now. Ive watched all of them. And I love em. I have a boat not as nice as yours but it's a boat. Just wanted to give you some input. I'm not sure what prop you have. Seems to me like it's aluminum? Is so you might want consider getting a SS prop better fuel economy more speed and more control of the boat. Make sure you get it with the the same measurements. Buy it used at your local Marine thrift shops, Craigslist, or offerup. Just my 2 cents. To help you save money on the long run. Tight lines and keep on 🎣.

Fuel economy, speed and boat control isn't determined by what the prop is made of. Different pitch of your prop will control all of those.
@albertoloyola1685
@albertoloyola1685 6 жыл бұрын
Buck Raeder I'm not sure where your getting this info from but aluminum tends to flex or open up under pressure. There for causing the motor to rev up in rpms. As to SS is more solid so it doesn't tend to flex or open up as much. My boat for example weighs 2000lbs dry. 19 ft by 8.6 ft Donzi. I bought with a 150hp Evinrude. It came with a aluminum prop. My boat topped out at 28mph on good day. With the aluminum prop. When I turned on high speeds the prop would start to cavitate. Also my gph was 7-9 When I changed it to My TURNING POINT SS PROP I gained 12 mph 40mph in total. No more cavitating on turns. And at the same speed of 28-30 I was doing 4-5 gph.
@albertoloyola1685

With all the frozen chum blocks you use why waste those carcasses when you could be using them to make your own frozen chum?

How do the manatees keep from getting hit?
@SouthFloridaFishingChannel

we just drive in idle in the marina. manatees are surprisingly fast when they want to move. They have plenty of time to get out of the way. I've never come close to hitting one here
