Maybe I'm a little too late, but I just wanted to say that your reactions are amazing, not just because they are genuine and pure, but because you add a lot of perspective and your analysis (from a musician point of view) let us know what the songs may be trying to evoke. I think AMSP it's not only his most human album but maybe it's fully realization as a band. Don't get me wrong, it's not as good as OKC or IR (or Kid A), but because they are in another league. I think Radiohead achieves in this the good balance on experimentation. Its baroque layers are amazingly compensated with its electronic textures in a unique way, even better accomplished than in in Rainbow (though IR may be better produced, in my opinion).

@6:08 The reverse lyrics say, "Half of my life." This is a reference to Thom Yorke's previous marriage. He spent 23 years with his partner which was half of his life (he was 46 in 2015). You could almost read the reversed lyrics as wanting to go back to her. Unfortunately he couldn't because she died in December 2015 from cancer. Tragically beautiful to say the least. And Decks Dark is my favorite on the album. It wasn't at first, but I slowly started finding subtle details the more I listened.

One of my initial thoughts upon first listening to this album back in 2016 was that it really sounds like a very sombre Elbow album, especially The Seldom Seen Kid. TSSK and AMSP could be sister albums in terms of both music and lyrical themes. You should definitely check out TSSK once you've finished AMSP The reversed vocals at the end on Daydreaming say "Half my life, All my love", referring to Thoms separation

When I saw this, I clicked so damn fast. Very curious to see what you think about the second half. I love Present Tense and Tinker Tailor Soldier Sailor Rich Man Poor Man Beggar Man Thief (wow, yes it's a handful that one, but oh so good!). And after I finished listening to True Love Waits I was just left speechless.

Radiohead is the stuff of dreams and nightmares. Can't get one without the other.
