This is the second of your Nightwish covers that I heard. Love it. Brings a slightly different angel to the song. I'm impressed, thanks again. I can only imagine if Floor was there to sing. Elan is so distinctive, you caught the full essence of the song.

Dean Music Production I Dean Kopri Ahh, okay, I found what might have caused the confusion? The band's site here ( media.nuclearblast.de/bands/Splash/nightwish/efmb/elan-contest/contest.html ) has a link at the bottom of the contest page which brings up a playlist with a bunch of contest entries, but there are some farther down the list that don't have anything about the contest in their titles (including yours); I assumed they were all entries since they were on the same playlist. It might just be the top 50 Elan covers on youtube or something.

Nice cover man! It might have sounded better if the chorus melodies soared more (a higher octave maybe?) but still well done.

thank you! :) yup, that's a one way to do it. but decided to go with a more calm approach and leave some place for the vocals if anybody wants to make a vocal cover with this background... which usually is a case :) and also decided to go with octaves in a last chorus which makes it stand out a bit more :)

Dean Music Production I Dean Kopri Understood. I think the last chorus still could have stood out more than the others if you played the others in octaves - you could do bigger chords in the left hand, play it louder, etc. But ultimately that's just my preference. :P
