Anette does not posses a Tarja-like voice,she has her own. She didnt want to copy Tarja`s style either,and I think that`s a good decision. Imaginaerum is Nightwish`s best-selling album. This should prove once and forever that NW`s reputation was bolstered with Anette.

Tarja, Anette, Floor... They're all great in their own way... The only thing, that changed NW for me is the drummer. God, how i miss Jukka behind the kit. It's not the same, no matter how good Kai is technically as the drummer. Jukka was absulutely awesome to watch, energy, passion.. Still hope he'll be back someday...

Tomas N There was an announcement released on the Nightwish website last month saying Jukka will not be returning as the drumming but will be working with the band behind the scenes. Kai is now the permanent drummer.

I have never particularly liked Nightwish but I decided to go to this concert since they were playing literally next door. Very positively surprised. Show was magical and when that curtain dropped before the second verse it sent chills down my spine. I'm glad having found this video, it's nice to relive part of the experience through this. Anette has such a beautiful voice her softer more poppy voice chims with the band so well, her speed and range just really shows, DPP and Imaginarium is all about taking advantage of her voice and it really shows what she can do, sadly fans are trash and did her dirty.

For instance, I don't think anyone could sing 'Meadows Of Heaven', 'Amaranth', 'Eva', or 'Scaretale' like Anette can. Anette simply has an extraordinary strength and control to her high-pitched voice, and this is a trait that's rare even among operatic singers. The pitches she could reach while in perfect control were outstanding, and she had the ability to both sound scary and thrusty, and oppositely so caressing and beautiful that on 'Meadows of Heaven', you picture Sharon den Adel.

Anette is underrated, she has a unique timbre that comes through in her singing and her voice does have a steadiness and strength to it. They picked her to sing for them for a reason but everyone seems to think this was some out of the blue error on NW part. Its not, she fit their vision going forward after Tarja. People just don't appreciate it because they equate yelling, oversinging and strain (ie floor) with good singing because its MoRe mEtAL and floor such a rocker chick. Most Floor era NW fans don't like Tarja either because she wasn't soo metal bro and offered a distinctly different quality to the music just like Anette did in the albums written for her voice. Anette has a nice voice and it has a different ring to it but these people don't like her style so they just shit on her like she was a bad singer and that's not true.

A lot of the problem lies when she tries to sing Tarja's songs. Of course she's going to sound the best when she's singing the songs made for her voice, but once they have her do the older stuff it's more difficult for her given her limited skill set in the operatic style, as well as people expecting her to live up to Tarja. And overall, in terms of performance her stage presence is rather lackluster.

Honestly, as much as Floor is the perfect fit for Nightwish now, I prefer Anette singing, well, "Anette" songs (Dark Passion Play and Imaginarium songs). They were tailor-made for her voice (more popish) and even thought she's considered the weakest vocalist Nightwish has employed, I love her singing songs from the albums she helped Nightwish make

I accaly love Floor and as it typed she's perfect fit. But listen to floor live 2015 and Anette live if it's good quality. Not against Floor still think she's the best fit. But honestly think Anette make that song live better then Floor. Floor is to rusty in voice when it's the rock pop parts. Higher time she manage better but not the rock pop in storytime. Also the song Eva nobody can make it as good as Anette. This is typed from the biggest Floor fan for nightwish. I just say the truth. Think many can't separate when Anette just started and did Tarja's high vocals and didn't manage it. But as it say abow fit for Anette that wasen't the highest Tarja songs and people just couldn't manage to separate Anette's performance of those song's and the album that was more fit and made for her. I'm sick of people keep judge Anette. Like I say for me Floor is nr 1 and also Tarja nr 2 as my taste. But that didn't make Anette horrible. She had angel vocals in Eva. Just give the women a break from trash talk. Try also remember Tuomas say in interview he wanted a new sound for the femail singer when they pick Anette. He wanted to change vocals sound. But then when he do setlist for the performance he picked high vocal songs many times so before you trash Anette think about that if she could pick the songs maybe it would be really different. Last but not least, remember that Anette wasen't really feeling she fit in with the band in the end, felt left out. Also so many fans wasen't nice people could yell Tarja Tarja when she try to perform. Don't forget all horrible comments online she got. The magazine's. To take the part after Tarja was a hell so what people forget is that she had so hard time and yes it effects anyone emotional. 2008 she walked away she say smoke in her eyes but it probably was tears. Last time in US 2012 it happened again but she was really suck and started to puke. Had stomach flue and was pregnant don't forget that. Al band had the flue in some weeks there, but Anette have to use her voice all the time and if you haven't been pregnant and stumach flue you have no clue how much wors that is. Specialy in beg cause your u feel nauseous and sick even with out flue. So don't trash her on that. Move on and give Anette a break.

@@matiasbelmonte4576 I know what you're saying, but it's a fun song, and whilst I think Floor has better technical ability, Imaginarium was written for Anette's voice, more child like almost, when it comes to the traditional stuff I generally do prefer Floor with a few exceptions, such as Siren and Sleeping Sun, but for Imaginarium I feel Floor oversings them, Anette's bright vocals just work better her for me. Her ability to belt high notes beats the others, and that's what this song needs, just my view.

I too am disappointed that none of the earlier tour was used as a special feature on the dvd at least. This presentation is obviously how the Imaginaerum tour was originally intended before the problems with Anette started - A great shame. I strongly recommend that a band as full-on live as Nightwish recruit an understudy to Floor for the next punishing tour as it's becoming apparent that they're going through vocalists like a dose of salts!

Apparently Anette refused to appear on the 2013 dvd after leaving the band. I think the 2012 imaginaerum movie release show with Floor at this same venue would have been better than wacken 2013, this intro is epic and we don't have any proshot of Taikatalvi+storytime. I think that show was recorded, as they included I want my tears back as a bonus.
