Haha just search a book where BL is more of an extra thing and the story is the main point of interest. Also exclude the smut, echi, harem and adult tags from it, BL with those just is TMI for me xD. It might not be your preference or even just something you could enjoy, but if you're interested in BL and want to give it a try this way you'll at least be able to finish the book. I'm fine reading BL stories like this, but it really has to be story heavy and not relationship heavy for me and given the choice I'd still rather read yuri with those stories instead because that's to my preference.

Ran into BL all the time as a kid. Fanfiction.net is full of it, especially with Bleach and Kingdom Hearts. Never understood the dynamic. Dudes would suddenly act weird around each other, someone gets laid in the first few chapters, and chicks were a distant thought. There's supposed to be drama, but it just seems more like an excuse to throw another dude in. Yuri... I never understood the idea or point. Reads like dudes getting cucked for no reason.
