I literally just found out that the vocalist of My chemical romance did vocals on the song. Never thought he would do black metal stuff because he's pop punk. Matter a fact My chemical romances new album should be the start of the genre blackend punk. Blackend punk is a fusion of black metal and pop punk. This genre was created by the lead singer of My chemical romance ever since he did black metal vocals for Matt Hefeys blackened metalcore side project.

The more I think about it, the more I wonder if this is actually melodic death metal blended with progressive metal and metalcore, rather than some sort of black metal. Black metal is usually "lofi" and doesn't have any clean vocals, doesn't it? I haven't heard a lot of black metal or its subgernes, but I think of early Tiamat and some Lorna Shore songs when you say "black metal" or "blackened [genre]".
