Mark is by no means overrated. Anyone in the guitar world rates this man as close to a guitar hero as humanly possible. Having Blackbird voted as #1 solo of all time and being voted #1 rock guitarist or in the top 3 the past decade shows how the music world sees him

Best part in this video Nik: Ah we're building to something here Mark: little derp smile 🌝 Mark is a true example of an artist. You can tell that even after selling multi-platinum and critically acclaimed work, he still gets uncomfortable reviewing his own work because he finds flaws in it.
@LexiPixeL_3 жыл бұрын
You're absolutely right. That looking around, sorta staring off into space thing he's doing throughout the video is definitely something I'm familiar with having worked in a studio. It's a look I've seen time and time again of someone reviewing their own music and really making sure everything is working the way you want it to.
@RG0493 жыл бұрын
Wow! I didn't not expect this. Mark is my favourite guitarist of all time. He's so down to earth every time. He was named as the guitarist of the decade and has been named as one of the greatest heavy metal guitarists of all time, but still Alter Bridge is unknown by many. Alter Bridge is a hidden gem.
@b0uixdev3 жыл бұрын
Alter Bridge is a band with a unique metal style, their music is a whole world
@RG0493 жыл бұрын
@@b0uixdev I won't say Alter Bridge is metal (they call themselves as a hard rock band), but you're right they have a kinda unique style. Myles Kennedy is also an incredible guitarist with lots of jazz/blues influences. Their songwriting is absolutely great. Blackbird is the perfect example. And they are great ballad writers too.
@troybaker6023 жыл бұрын
Alter Bridge is the exact opposite of hidden gem lol, every album has charted in the top 15 on billboard and they're a spinoff of Creed who were pretty huge
@RG0493 жыл бұрын
@@troybaker602 Not all, only 4 out of 6 (check their wiki page). And whether you agree or not, they are literally underrated. I've personally asked from some people who listen rock/metal about them and some of them have not even heard the band's name. They still have only 0.8 million Spotify followers. Broken Wings is their most viewed video and it has only 20 million views more or less. So I think these details are enough to say that they are underrated.

Ok, is it just me, or are a lot of the songs on this album intentional callbacks to previous Tremonti songs? If Not For You has the same rhythm at several spots as Flying Monkeys, as well as the lyrics "until the end." Not Afraid To Lose sounds like a reimagining of Unable To See. Would You Kill shares melodic and rhythmic themes with Radical Change. The list goes on. Is this all on purpose? It's so cool if it is, gives the albums continuity!
