I have this phobia too, and the intro of this video made me feel uncomfortable. I truly had a difficult time as a little girl. As well, explaining this to others sometimes become a joke. I tried to faced them by walking through the toy shelfs, it gets better, better yet still uncomfortable.

The most effective way to deal with your phobia fully and permanently is to address the cause and to change your perspective of it to see how dolls were not trying to hurt or harm you in anyway so as to sever the link you have created to your fight or flight response. Well done however on working on desensitisation by looking at shelves with dolls. This can wok too, but can take quite a longtime.

Well her level of phobia is really rare. In my case, i can't be alone in a room with dolls in it lol, i remember burning my sisters's dolls when i was a kid so i could live a normal childhood xD.

Our school went on a field trip to AACE and when we went to the makeup room, my heart skipped a beat because I saw mannequins right next to the entrance. When we took a photo, I was the only one frowning. My mom tells me that it's just a phase and it will pass. How long does a phase last? A lifetime? Then try as I might, it will not pass. I mean, when I was a kid, sure I wanted barbies but then whenever we got to the baby dolls section, I'd just back away very slowly. Checkout and never look back. I stopped playing with dolls when I became 7 and donated most and threw some when I became 9 and since then, I've had absolutely no toys in my room. Everything that seemed like it were unplayable for as they are decorations. Now here we are, 3 years later and too scared to walk into shopping malls because i don't like crowded areas, I am terrified of mannequins and clowns just have me crying. Just a few weeks ago, my schoolmate pulled off the head of the mannequin model in out bookshop and I broke down. Dunno why I'm still friends with that bastard.

I have pediophobia too. But the kind of dolls that scare me are porcelain dolls. The ones that are cracked and covered in spider webs. But also the ones that aren't ruined and old. They just scare the crap out of me. One time I even had a panic attack just by looking at a certain doll on a video. It had pale white skin, spiked teeth, spiked black hair, and black eyes like those demons in Supernatural. I closed the video quickly and from there my panic attack started. It took me about 10 minutes to calm down. And this is the first time that looking at a doll has triggered a panic attack. I don't ever wish to relive it again. :/

I've collected dolls all of my life and love them. Especially the reborn s that artist created dolls that look so much like newborn babies. Thankful I don't fear them and can enjoy them. I have a phobia of snakes. My brother put that horrible fear into me when I was young.

Really rare phobia i see so many reasons why people would have phobias of dolls . Idk if it was because i watched chucky but i have hated dolls ever since i was around the age of 6 and im a girl(people usually assume little girls would have dolls). I did have a cabbage patch doll but it went into a storage space my family had and i never wanted it back.

I have a doll phobia but it’s not as bad as this woman’s. I do have a daughter so I knew I had to buy her dolls. I’m glad she likes her stuffed animals better lol :) but my doll phobia is mostly the old dolls, the porcelain ones and the jester looking ones. Also those clowns from the French time that look like jesters. Mannequins as well and any dolls that move. I do know my mom used to have tons of dolls and she always collected them so I know it might be from that. And when I was 3 I was given “twin dolls” and they moved!! But my other phobia that’s as bad as this woman’s is seeing earthworms. I can’t even look at pictures without crying like her my blood pressure goes up and I feel like I am hyperventilating

When I was a toddler, I was in a play area in a mall at the Philippines and I saw a doll and I got so creeped out. Then I was afraid to go to the spot where I saw the doll. 😨 And I was so scared that I held another kid's hand. That kid didn't know I was Scared, I just held her hand. I was so little back then and I could still remember.

I have this pediophobia. I got a scare when the dolls are shown at 0.20.... The fear extended to mannequin in shopping mall. Thankfully, these days, mannequin are less life like & made from plastic & often not painted. Back in 90s, they usually have hairs with scrap, & eyes. I will avoid getting close like the plague. I know they will not come alive, but still sacred the shit out of me. I have improved since I was a kid, but only just. if I see a drop out doll head (especially), arm, or a doll without head or arm, I will go nuts, literally. Thankfully, this do not happened often. I cannot be sure, but I think it originated when I was a small kid., I dropped (or someone dropped), a china doll dropped & her head was shattered, with half the face remaining, & inside her head was hollow. It was a scary sight for me, & I think it was amplified when a horror movie of puppets & dolls coming to life to kill people shown close to that incident. The China doll in Alice in Wonderland scared me as well, & the one from toy story, but on screen, it wasn't as bad. The skeleton doll do not scare me, but the ones behind the curtains do. & I will absolutely not sleep with a room full of these dolls. I am however not scared of teddy bears or action figures, Those dolls with real hair & indivdual glass eyes sacred me most. But mine wasn't as bad as hers. Hers was much more serious.

i hate dolls i'm frightened of them but the worst dolls for me are porcelain dolls i can't be around them my little sister is 4 she'll be 5 in October and she loves dolls my house is full of them and i just want to overcome my phobia for the sake of my little sister my phobia isn't as bad as this person her's is a lot worse sometimes i can stand it i can just hold it in for a little bit unless they are proper creepy looking dolls or robotic dolls i hate them or if they are looking at me, sometimes i can just walk past them without any bother but it depends because other times i just can't stand it my heart beats fast but not all the time and i don't think it goes as high as her's i haven't really tested myself to see if anything physical happens but mentally i'm frightened of them it usually depends which type of doll it is i'm okay with tiny little dolls or barbie dolls but other normal size dolls or big dolls i can't stand especially porcelain ones i couldn't even stand the intro like literally i was shaking i had to skip it

Some people even are scared of clowns. Usually I'm not scared of dolls. But I unknownly had a haunted doll, that I threw away and cleaned my flat's energies with spirit smokes. since this day I had no paranormal activities anymore; and the rest of my dolls are okay now. Donna, I heared, that you were scared of any dolls since your very early childhooddays. And you got a tiny tears doll for exmass. What has been so strange for you on this doll? was it the function of crying tears or wetting nappies or drinking water from a bottle, that doll had? Or could it be, that you had a terrible childhood without any love and care. maybe that could be one of many reasons for this phobia.

im also terrfied let me tell you the story when i was a kid about 6 or 5 years old i saw this pretty doll on a news papper i asked my mom if she could buy me it she said yes after a few days we went to the shop it was snowing my brother and my mom silped she end uped breaking her leg but she didnt know yet... i picked a doll and we went home i played with it alot but i when i went to bed i had a terrafieing night mare i got scread in the dream becuase it moved its eyes then i woke up.the end
