I found my family! Didn't realise there was sooo many of us! Ive done everything to discover where my "fissues" came from, and to diminish the effects. But 20+years later, frying to swim in the ocean most days, im still terrified! Also this is weird as, but i KNOW when they are in the water!!!! I have tested this dozens of times. Im never wrong.

@@lionproductions899 Me too, I swear, everytime I go to a supermarket I try to be as far as I can. I'm shaking everytime when I see a fish, even it's dead or alive, I can't stand them. Somebody tried to "cure" me by bringing way too close to me a fish, and my heart almost jumped from my chest and I started to tramble and cry of fear..... I almost have a panic attack and feel like I can't breath normaly everytime when someone brings a fish too close to me....

I have had a fish phobia ever since I can remember. I have never eaten fresh fish,cooked,or saltwater fish. I will not even eat crustaceans like shrimp or lobster. When I was wee one my siblings won a goldfish at a carnival and I poured old English wood cleaner in the water to kill it. I can now cross bridges over water however, I am scared that they will kill me if I was to fall in. I was about 3-4 yrs old when this took place. I am 61 now and I am still this way, by the way fish can hurt you or kill you if it happens to be dangerous! I want to face my phobia but I couldn't even watch this video without panicking. People don't understand and have always made fun of me including throwing them at me. I am happy for her. I live in the USA I have no idea how to even begin to get help.

I have a fear of fish too since I was young but it's the smell and the taste of fish. I have to pretend I have a fish allergy so I won't get anything at a restaurant that is contaminated with seafood. If someone is eating fish or shrimp next to or nearby me, I would gag and it makes it difficult to eat. When a restaurant fries fish with other fried menu items, I refuse to eat there.

My fear of fish I just cant explain. It's not extreme like the lady in the video. It just this deep soul stirring feeling when I see them or have dreams about them. I'm more scared of them in my dreams than in real life. One person here said they stare into your soul. I can relate to that. I cant decide wether they have a soul or that blank expression is from no soul. You know what it is ? They’re just so foreign. Like they're from another world. I like whales and dolphins. I love shell fish. But el péz just freak me out. The thought of a big one jumping out of it's tank and flopping around all over the room , i wouldnt know what to do. My dad used to have Oscar fish that did that.

Im terrified of looking into the fish eye. Imagine ur in an aquarium. Infront of a big tank. U take a photo posing infront of it. U turn around, and make eye contact with one of them. I would simply pass away.

One time my mom cooked fish for dinner and didn't tell me. ( I thought it was weird chicken ) After dinner when I asked what it was she said it was salmon and little me didn't know what it was so she showed me a picture of salmon, and I cried for 23 minutes and didn't eat food for a week because everything is apparently fish now.

I am so sorry I know how horrible that can be but ur lucky my mom cooked shark and worst of all it was in a soup that tasted so bad and I was forced to eat it cause well my mom is Mexican and shark is expensive so if I didn’t eat it well it was wasting food and money so yeah I used to love shrimp, fish, crab, lobster but now I am disgusted and can’t eat it.

It’s common for a phobia to go on to add further triggers (such as the ocean, sand and even restaurants that serve fish). Dealing with the origin of your phobia will help to address the phobia and at that time the added triggers will no longer trouble you either. There is only one type of fish I'm scared of and those are jellyfish, which aren't even fish. But seriously, who decided to give jellyfish and starfish the name 'fish'? They look NOTHING like fish and just because they live in the sea that doesn't mean they are fish. But all jokes aside, there is one harmless-looking fish that you should avoid. The pufferfish. They might look cute when they puff up into a ball shape, but trust me, that is the last thing you would want them to do when you're underwater with one. They are one of the most toxic animals on the planet, being both poisonous AND venomous. Just one of them has enough toxins to kill 30 people!

I am scared of fishes dead or alive but I love eating them (I am not the one that cooks them tho). And we have a fish rank and a fish jumped out and gave me a mini heart attack, I broke my tripod 'cause of that. I am extremely interested in fishes but I hate touching them or seeing them in person. I am praying that it'll stop so I can go fishing. Just a note: I am not saying I have fish phobia but I am scared of dead or alive fish(although I am not scared anymore if it's cooked or if it has no head(cooked) so ye...) I have a fish phobia and cannot eat it either, i also cannot eat or drink while sitting next to a tank without feeling ill. Had a fighting fish before he jumped out of his tank. One time when i was cleaning out his tank for the first time, he accidently he got in the sink and my mum was telling me to just pick it up and put it back in the seperate water container. Then i tried picking him up, but the smell and the feeling and yuck, it freaked me out. Mum had to do it. As a child i was also terrified of museums because they would have creepy displays of fish scales and humanoid sculptures thats looked like real ppl. I don't i could ever get over this fear.

I've been an avid fisherman my entire life. I'm not afraid of fish in any capacity. I love catching, cleaning, eating fish, etc. It's just been something I've been raised up around. That being said, I don't understand this phobia. What about fish is scary? I can understand sharks, or otherwise dangerous fish, but bass, carp, salmon and trout? What's so scary?
