NIKE unvailed a brand new shoe which releases in the very distant future! The PEGASUS PREMIUM will release in SPRING 2025!
I quickly check out the MANCHESTER V LONDON MARATHON clash in 2025, though this weekend is the MANCHESTER 2024 MARATHON.
Plus i check out some soon to be released or recently available shoe models including the adizero SL2, the ADIDAS ultra trail shoe & the GHOST 16 from BROOKS.

The real party trick of the Pegasus Premium is the air unit is not flat, it is the first one that actually curves into a rocker. So I guess that’s the first they are talking about.

I'm using Infinity 4 as my daily right now, and I used few old react models prior to this one (epic and infinity, I liked firmer feel), and in my opinion reactx is a huge upgrade. In my pair of infinity 4 it needed good 30-40km to brake properly, but after that it's just a pleasure to run. Don't be afraid Ed, it's softer, bouncier and super smoooooth. Problem with infinity 4 is weight, shoe is overbuild without a reason, but doesn't feel that heavy at all. Without that excessive foam Peg could be really nice option. Only time will tell.

I got a London place via the ballot for next week on possibly my 7th or 8th attempt. Whilst I'm super, super excited about the race itself I'm also kinda miffed that I have to go into London a couple of days before the race to pick up my race pack. The organisers dont post them. I'm fortunate that I live in Suffolk, a commutable distance away, but anyone who lives further north will be obliged to get into London perhaps a day earlier than necessary just to collect their bib. I'm assuming this is a cynical ploy to boost tourism & hotel bookings but given that prices are around £300 a room that weekend if someone needed to stay two nights it's likely to bankrupt those from a less affluent background. The carbon footprint from thousands of people making additional journeys into London just to collect bibs doesnt seem like a particularly eco-friendly approach either.

Runners World was saying the Peg 41 comes in at 12oz for a US size 12. Should be interesting, ReactX was comfortable but I don't know how it's going to feel with the air zoom. Really waiting on the SL 2, I have been scouring the internet trying to find anything about a release but nothing yet. Fingers crossed it's soon

I'm currently using the Adidas SL for my daily and liking it a good bit, though it does feel a bit disconnected with the Lightstrike PRO only being in the forefoot. Having it be throughout the whole midsole should improve it considerably. Hopefully the price doesn't change too much. I picked up my pair for $40.

Tried the Vomero 17 and it's no good for me. I got a pain in my right foot in three different runs. I feel dissapointed. The pegasus premium looks so cool , i 'll probably try it to see if it's good enough for everyday use.

The AF3 looks like a bathtub! Nothing to do with this but tried my Sky Paris today for the first time. Absolutely brilliant shoe. Just what I was hoping for (and I’m most definitely a cadence runner, think hamster wheel at fast paces..!). Ran a low 18 5k today, though am in low 19 daily trainer shape at mo.

Not very excited about where the Pegs are going - as far as the Premiums go... I guess hyper-segmentation is the way to go for Nike... Hopefully they carry on with the Vomero line and take it in the direction of the 17s. It's what the Pegs should have been (at the cost of a bit of extra weight). They released more AF3 in the Volt/Dusty Cactus/Total Orange/Concord colorway here in Australia but surprisingly nearly all sizes are still available. I think the AF3 hype has died a little. That new white blue colorway is nice but still the AF3 is a bit too expensive for my liking. On the other hand, the new Asics Metaspeed Paris series is better priced over here. Can't wait for the new Saucony Endorphin Elite 2 if it releases this year. Ran in the original version this morning. What a shoe!

Yeah that's what we are looking at now - I feel like they can take advantage of you since they know it's the London Marathon - yes but some of these costs are outrageous - it's not like I'm trying to get tickets the the WC Final. Peg premium defo an updated Zoom All Out low. Look expensive but defo a heavy durable one by the looks of things - Pegasus chassis will blow most ASICS meta rocker designs out the water - heavy shoe by the looks of it and one for the people looks responsive

Very true. I've had the midsole separate from the upper on two pairs of Nike Invincibles, and I have seen many fellow runners reporting the same! I will let it slide for that unique under foot feel, but it's not a good look.

2:35 Did Nike not learn anything with the Nike Zoom all out? I had a pair of those and after just 10 steps I stopped and returned them. They were stupid unstable, I felt like my ankles were going to roll at any moment. The problem is that when you put pressure on one side of the air unit the air moves to the other side and collapses. That is why the 2 zoom pods were used in the Alphaflys so the air stays on that side.

I ran the South Downs Way 50 mile Ultra this weekend just gone in those Adidas Terrex trainers and they were great for about 35 miles but then they really started to ache my feet! They are a brilliant trainer but have a weird ridge that you can feel in the arch of your feet, a little like the Alphafly I'd say so if you don't get in with the Alphafly then id avoid the Adidas

Running shoes nowadays are becoming so wired like why put all your best tech in a shoe that’s meant to go slow and be a daily driver, like why can’t you just do one big slab of Eva foam like back then, maybe tpu, but all this tech is getting out of hand

The original primex was too unstable for many. I think the brands realise that lots of people want some cushion but without the overt squash in the heel.

tbh I don´t think the old pegasus was plush specially when ypu ran quite often in them the one shoe that actually destroyed me was the boston 10 awfull shoe still get ptsd from it it was heavy had an awfull upper and was hard af never had such an uncomftorable shoe, ever since never picked up anything from adidas running ever since
