Making two shoes distinct and making one shoe less premium are two different things. You can make an original drop feel special by changing up the colours, patterns or insignias a little bit but changing the build quality of the product is a different game. This is just cost cutting imo

"Stash blues are too blue." Lol I'm just done, this is the dumbest analysis I've heard of this shoe. I think they improved upon the OG in every way with the new release, and they intentionally made it a 2.0 and it is not a "retro" as you stated. The OG versions have had a lot of fading since they came out in 2006, so when they initially released, they were much closer to this colorway in vibrancy. The changes that stash made overall add to the longevity of the shoe, i.e. the ripstop, fuse overlay (helps with rainfall), and the eyelets being reinforced as those tend to rip. The OG grey with blues colorway is iconic, and I love that this 2.0 doesn't take away from that legacy, but updates it in a visual and practical way. I do not think Stash could have made a better 2.0 of this iconic grail, and this is easily the best 95 of the year.

Thanks for the explanation. First of all I didn’t say 'stash blues are too blue', you made up that quote. I said that I feel these look too blue compared with the OGs. If we look at this as a 2.0 version then it changes the way I feel about em a little bit, I still find them a bit 'too blue' like I said though. I know the materials this time are a bit more durable but that doesn’t mean they look good. But that’s just my opinion anyways and we all entitled to one, I respect yours though.

In terms of the stash Nike didn’t make the changes stash made them the way they are. The AF1 was better then the 95s I don’t know why my retro them with lighter tone. I look at the bacons and that’s a true retro Dope vid as usual

Hot take, I prefer the AF1 AF Stash over the 95 (for disclaimer I own both). I def agree with you that they cheapened the entire pack. I def could not wear that AF1 .5 size down, I wear TTS and they fit perfect. DO NOT recommend .5 down in any AF1 for really wide footers like me.

First and foremost they as in Nike? As how you’re saying, it in your video.. Because Stash has stated himself in recent interviews about these 2024 retros he says that he wanted to change these and make them slightly different than the originals. I’m also very glad that they “Nike” worked hand-in-hand on this modern take with the man himself! But regardless, in my opinion, these “Reimagined” Stash collaboration retros in my opinion are definitely fire and some of the best retros that Nike has done in recent years… Love your videos keep up the great work you keep making them. I’ll keep watching them.
