I wish Grownish had a heavier plot but that’s the way Blackish was. They both had lighter hearted plots. Overall I loved watching Grownish. It was funny and interesting. I really hope there’ll be a second season.

Yes thank you for acknowledging he brilliance of Chloe and Halle Bailey. I want them to be the leads tbh, their story has so much more dimension than “I need a new boyfriend”. I wanted to give up on the show very often because the first few episodes made such a tropey mockery of college imho, but with time I grew into it I guess. I hope they explore the other characters more in season 2.

CHRISTMAS HAS COME EARLY!!!!!!!! Nikki we've missed you!!! TBH- grown-ish was hyped too much, The show's writing, and their acting was sub-par. college is nothing like they what they portray it as. I feel like the entire season was just Zoe and boy drama. I wish they would have shown that kids in college are so much more than drama, drugs, and sports. Black-ish was alot funnier, and touched on a lot of heavier topics.

I was so happy that she picked Luca since he’s been my favorite since the episode where she went on that date with him. I actually liked the twins (chloexhalle) more than I liked Zoey. Don’t get me wrong I love her but she be out here making these decisions that really irk my soul. Vivek and the spanish girl (dont really remember her name atm) kinda irritated me , I didnt see the point in their characters. Aaron and Cash were annoying. But if Luca wasnt an option I would say she should pick Aaron.

Love Grownish. Watched the whole season. At first I wasn't sure about Zoe's comedic chops because of how the character was frame Don blackish. She is much more mature, dynamic and funny. Definitely A Different World stan but this is a nice modern approach to college life. Freeform taking risk.
