Why was this so therapeutic? The internet is such a crazy place! We love watching what other people get at the grocery store. Watching people put on makeup. Review fast food items. I LOVE IT! (I have Ezekiel bread on hand at all times, sourdough is a MUST, and those “sour patch kids” are bomb! That brand makes the best organic little candies everrrrr!) So I was at Hobby Lobby and saw some Macrame plant hangers...I was so excited to see them because I had never seen them before your house tour. I got a plant for it and hung it in front of my kitchen window over the sink! I love it! Thanks Nikki!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I love your grocery hauls! Just a suggestion, you should try buying items that don't need packaging/as much packaging. For example you could buy fresh arugula and tub of coconut oil instead of individuals packets.

NikkiPhillippi No we haven’t visited yet. The plan is to check it out sometime this year. My husbands contract is up at the end of 2018, so we’ve got a bit of time. We really haven’t enjoyed the culture of DC, and think Nashville would be an amazing change of pace.

I love Trader Joe’s quick meals. I’ve tried almost everything you bought. I cook most night, but I love how easy their meals are for those night when I’m tired or working late. Last night I made their fettuccini Alfredo then mixed in some cooked pancetta over steamed asparagus. So yummy.

I’m from California too and moved two hours outside of Nashville. I really drove to Nashville last weekend (maybe just to go to Trader Joe’s)... and it was so busy I couldn’t even shop I was so devastated 😂

I absolutely love TJ’s sparkling water. My favorite seasonal has been the Berry Bubbly. Mine is already out of it, but thankfully I was smart and bought a case of it before it was gone. My other favorites are the Island Colada and the Clementine.

You have used that mustard aioli to make a salad dressing! With lemon juice, salt, and olive oil! I make it all the time because of you hahaha

I make my own two ingredient bagels that i loveeeee! They are 1 cup self-rising flour (which can be made by combining 1 cup flour, 1 1/2 tsp baking powder and a tsp of salt) and 1 cup greek yogurt! You can make it into bread, bagels, pretzels and so on, its soooo good!!

When you freeze your bread leave it on the counter for a few hours and then make sure it's double wrapped. It usually come in the bag but toss it in a zip lock or wrap it in Syrian wrap too. It makes it not get dry when you unthaw it.

My friend made me a recipe once with Arugula and it was the absolute best. Baked sweet potato with black beans and cheese melted onto it, topped with a poached egg and fresh arugula.

If your bread experiment works out, you could try sourdough bread. Sourdough starter is really easy to maintain and you can get GF. 🍞 Plus you can use your starter for so many other things.. Also, white bean humus is really delicious! Good luck with all your new recipes. Super excited to see them 💜

I live in Nashville and it is so hard to find sourdough bread! BUT I found it at Aldi's, and it's super good! :) They also carry a lot of Trader Joe's foods for half the price!

I LOVE Trader Joes! We buy many of the same things for our home! Have you ever had the cheddar with caramelized onions? I just got it for the first time and it is DELICIOUS! I also just got a couple of crazy Greek yogurt flavors I hadn't tried yet...avocado citrus and match green tea!

Sourdough bread is a hugely Californian thing. I didn't realize it either until my mom moved to Wisconsin and it's so hard to find it there. That and tri-tip! I had no idea that tri-tip was mainly just in California.

King Arthur's white whole wheat flour has a 1:1 ratio with all purpose flour. I use that instead of white ap flour.

If this hummus recipe doesn’t work for you- as in, it’s less about the taste and more about the texture- then what you are looking for is for skinless beans. As in, you start with dry beans and once they’ve done their initial soak, you remove the garbanzo skins. don’t know if it works with other beans though.

Trader Joes in Nashville is INSANE! They're sitting on a gold mind and need to expand ASAP. They should definitely build one in East Nashville. That being said, you should really try the greek goddess dressing. I eat it almost everyday, super obsessed. ALSO TRY THE SPICY LENTIL WRAP. SUPER OMG YUM (vegan too).

You need to try the "Everything" hummus from sprouts. There are only a few Sprouts in Nashville so far but it is so worth the drive! it's so good on it's own with veggies but also as a more dense condiment on a sandwich or lettuce cups!

Google Nigella Lawson potato bread. Or actually, I say go ahead and get her Forever Summer book. I know in republication they changed the name but it should show up by typing that. I eat Coconut oil everyday but I make little dime size pills and keep them in the freezer. I eat about 6 each morning.... I just melt the coconut oil and using a straw I 1/2 fill a tiny round ice cube tray (amazon) One tray has 60 tiny cubes. Once I pop them out I can store them all together in a tub

You are brave going to the Trader Joe's in Nashville. That place is a madhouse. That ribbon pasta comes in a lemon pepper version. Pair it with the Trader Joe's pesto sauce and it is the best pasta dish in the world. Also, try Cybele's Free To Eat Super Food Pasta. It's amazing. It's at the Turnip Truck and Kroger.

I've been attempting to make the best hummus, it's crazy but in the food processor add 2-4 tablespoons of water, SO much more creamy!

When making hummus peel the outer skin from the bean. It will give you smooth hummus.

Try your Kroger bakery (where you slice your own in the machine) for sourdough. That’s where we get ours each week!
