Nice video, but somehow you missed to explain the main feature of this lens: the defocus control. It would have been more interesting to see what happens with the background blur, if you use that feature instead of showing (more or less boring) aperture comparisons that look like on any other lens 😁

Great video again my friend. I love this type of nikon glass which has its own character, I find most of the state of the art lenses today to be to sterile to perfect. Look forward to the next video.

Absolutely. I'm not a person with much money at all but by great luck I managed to have a mint copy of this lens - sometimes I try to look for excuses to shoot with it. Architecture, plants and flowers, animals, and of course portraits - it gives these beautiful, cinematic results that need so little post production.

Hello, can I have the link to adapting the 135mm DC lens to Z series bodies? I only see Leica to Nikon and not Nikon to Nikon. How are you adapting the DC135 to your Nikon Z camera please? Or is that a Leica to Nikon to Megadap adapter configuration?

The FTZ adapter does not have a screw drive, so you lose autofocus with this lens on a Z camera, right?

Did you have to fine tune the focus in the camera settings? I have this lens on my D800 and find the focus shifts when shooting full body shot, up close is not an issue for some reason.

@@theCameraVille Just upgraded to the D850 and big difference with focus even wide open at f2! I did hear about issues with the D800 and worth the upgrade for me anyway!
