I believe you are the only one, possibly in the world😁, who has figured out how to get Snapbridge to work. After four hours of frustration, I found this video on the subject. I own a D850 and while it's menus are somewhat different from the camera you used (a D750? D810?), the entire problem I had was not unpairing the phone from the camera at the start of each new session. Of course, the problem is that the two really aren't paired when the app still says they are. Your discovery explains why on my first attempt at trying out the remote photography feature, it worked and then it never worked again! So, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for making this video. I can't imagine why you only got 96 thumbs up when you should have received 59,850 of them!

Ok, I've looked at several Snapbridge troubleshooting, and I'm still not getting my D750 to even show up in Snapbridge, much less connecting. I've had 'Waiting for Connection' for over an hour (have to keep re-starting it) Network connection on...and even going in to the Wifi settings, hitting the Nikon selection, I get a checkmark for 6 seconds, then a No Connection again! :(

After hours of frustration and watching videos/reading blogs, my solution is simple, yet stupid. Using an iPhone X with a Nikon D5600. Followed all the set up steps and both phone and camera confirmed connection yet I was unable to gain functionality... So... after watching a couple videos with mention of GPS, I simply opened my google maps app and VIOLA! IT WORKS! Give it a try before you smash anything expensive. *you will have to leave the google maps app open and operating in the background to sustain connection and functionality

I think it downloads after the shot is taken. You may be able to set the resolution downloaded though. Not many options on this app.

I've had a similar problem to many of the people here. Using both an iPhone 6s and Samsung S7, the pairing fails on the phone screens at the last stage, while the camera seems to think the pairing is successful... Can it be a case of updating the firmware when I bought the camera new only a month ago?? Super frustrating as I debated a long time whether to pay the extra £80 for the D3400 over the D3300 and made my decision solely for the bluetooth pairing (THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE 2!!!) Does anyone have a suggestion for quick fixes?

Make sure the firmware on your camera is up to date and you are using the latest SnapBridge. It is still buggy, but I've got it to work also by unparing and re-paring the software to the camera each and every time I use it. Kinda a pain in the but, but that's the only consistent way I've found to make it work.

Hey guys, they updated the SnapBridge app a week ago, so make sure you update to the latest and of course update your firmware on your camera to the latest version as well.

Nikon also released a firmware update to the D500 last week, which addresses the connectivity issue with SnapBridge. It still is a little quirky IMHO. D810 firmware also released at the same time.

Ok people here’s the fix. (I’m using iPhone 6s by the way) Go to Bluetooth settings and ‘forget device’ on whatever you camera name is. Then start to connect from scratch. Bingo I think we will likely have to do this each time when attempting to connect.

Update - I tried this recently because of course it was being a pain in the bum to connect. And I had to go to Bluetooth settings in the camera and forget my phone. And also disconnect my camera type (3500 in my case) and reconnect in snap bridge. When the app works it’s awesome. All the hassle is not. 😅

The latest 10.2.1 like you. You may also have to update your camera's firmware and latest copy of SnapBridge. Maybe uninstall the app, then shut your phone off completely, then turn phone back on and re-install SnapBridge from the app store?

Thank you so much for telling us to unpair and forget the camera, in order to use the app again in the future. This was a major fix for me because I had to keep an installing and installing to make a connection. Taking your advice about this, I can get a connection every time I open the app and turn on my camera and connect to the device! I think it's a flaw that Nikon does not say to do this when you close the app. I think that would help thousands of people who have tried to use this and gave up.

Just some advise... Maybe not word the title saying that your video is a FIX. Because its NOT. Most people landing on this video think you have a fix for the connection unsuccessful error, which you don't. All you did was make a video of you connecting, not fixing anything.

I have this same issue. I have a Samsung s7 and a D5600. I've tried wifi and snapbridge with zero luck. The only way I've been able to transfer photos is to tranfer them with my memory card to my laptop then send them to my phone. Quite unfortunate with the Nikon community. Hoped they would take a little more care with their software and apps.

I've been using SB in the field with some success especially with the update. HOWEVER, no one in the Google/KZbin galaxy has answered this question... how does one select one photo from the camera in the menu "select to send to smart device" from a Nikon Z6 and make it work! I just got a B500 and it would not connect, even thought the camera showed up immediately I looked for it in SnapBridge, frustrating , , , BUT!! Airplane Mode was on by default. Turned it off and connected instantly. hth :)

I just bought the model D5600 and found out android 7.0 is not compatible to snapbridge, dont waste your time to pair your camera with your Galaxy S7 or S8 hand phone until Nikon has sort out the problem and update the apps. I had no problem to pair with my son's I phone 7 but not my android phone.

Android Solution: Clear Bluetooth cache under Application Manager, show System apps, Bluetooth. Re-pair through Camera.

After it says “select accessory” and I choose the camera, it says “connection unsuccessful” right away and it says make sure my camera is turned on and its in range (even though it’s right next to my phone.) Nikon is a failure of a company I’ve never had so many problems with a device in my life and I will never buy a Nikon product again.

This vide does not talk about how to fix the problem. This shows what it could be in the manual. I had tried month to resolve this issues, today I was able to resolve this. The help is in the following page nikonimglib.com/snbr/onlinehelp/en/08_troubleshooting_01.html For me, the option one was the problem, you got to press OK an Pair AT THE SAME TIME. Did you press the camera OK button and tap PAIR at the same time? If you wait too long between pressing the button on the camera and tapping the button in SnapBridge, pairing will fail and an error will be displayed. Operate both buttons simultaneously. Good luck.
