Jason, that statement really means something! I remember your D6 shooting in 3D tracking video at the skate park- that’s when Nikon needed a friend because of the nay sayers downing the D6. You put that to rest with your tracking shots. Your enthusiasm about the Z9 is really exciting. Keep up the good work. Would you touch on the internal camera stabilization and the compound or coupling effect of using the FX VR II lenses . I’m wondering, with 1/32,000 No shutter and -8.5 EV this baby has unlimited potential to remove the human element. Thanks, I really admire your love of your profession Tom.

Jasin - incredible video! Awesome shots with each subject/genre. ISO 25,600 is just crazy, and the way AF stock with both the moto and hockey was sick. Of course - Ellie is just beautiful anyway. You really put it through it's paces. Tacking Lock On is pretty sensitive. On my Z7ii I've seen a difference just moving it from 3 to 2 - and 1 was too much. It's another one of those settings that's a great tool in your kit to hold focus or acquire focus as you want.

Fascinating video! Question on studio shooting: How was the autofocus accuracy when the camera was stopped down (say F8 or more)? That is one scenario in which I find my Nikon DSLRs consistently outperform my Z6 and Z7, presumably because the DSLRs acquire focus wide-open. Thoughts?

Always like your honest opinions. Now the Z8 has been released and is quite similar to the Z9 apart from the battery I remembered you did a brilliant video on the Z9, I shoot sport and use my D850 and not so good at fast sport Z6II. I’m in two minds to get either Z8 or D6, putting to one side your film sets which would you prefer for sport Z9 or D6? Z8 would be ideal for golf and tennis due to being quiet as for football, rugby and hockey quietness wouldn’t matter so much. Bering in mind the weather here in the UK is quite dull most of the time and end up using a higher iso.

Hi Jasin, just found your channel and subscribed. I'm a sport photographer in Florida and a Nikon shooter all my life so I follow a few You tubers to get inspired. I have a question kinda off subject but would like your thoughts if you don't mind. There is a commercial photographer ( 30 plus years ) in Sydney who has been a undeterred spokesperson for Nikon for years, has about 15K subscribers I think. How does Nikon Australia determine who gets to trial the Z9? Many of us who follow him are dumbfounded as to why he hasn't been offered a trial by Nikon. Now he has not said anything publicly , too much of a gentleman and such a nice guy. Some have asked him and he says something like "golly gosh, I sure would love to try one". He has reviewed many Nikon products before but he isn't of the likes of Fro hair or chunky angry bald guy, truly loves and supports Nikon but enthusiastic for all photographers, a breath of fresh air actually. Thanks so much for your thoughts. Ted in Sebastian, Fl.

Great results, video and camera. JPEGs only because it's preprod? I had expected Nikon to at least have a (beta maybe) version of NX Studio for you, when they handed the camera to you. The camera does raw processing to get the eVF and display, likely, all the time, and to generate JPEG or MPEG/movie files and does smart things to raw sensor data in resolution reductions. I hope the source code Nikon are using in the camera for that matches the source to NX Studio. I have to use LrC and Ps, but in cases where LrC/CR give me color noise, I may take an image through NX. As I wrote "version of NX", let me add that only a Z 9 profile might have been enough if they did the programming of the raw processing efficiently. It may be more complex than I think, but "out there" there are no clues of that.

What I also don't understand why a flagship of the Nikon Z-9 update v5.00 did not have the pixel shift added to the updates, when the Z-8 and ZF camera's has it,we pay good money for our NikonZ-9's as our tools to complete our task and our professions . Nikon ........WHY ?????????????? please don't let us down on this flagship.............I am not the only one to discuss this issue and there are thousands of Nikon Z-9 shooters that are LOYAL to this company, please contact all the Nikon Ambassador's in all Regions of the world and have them fix this issue.............Thank you........
