Right there with ya on that. DEATH ANGEL/FORBIDDEN was my 1st thrash show, 89/90 I believe. Yeah I was 14, and my life changed that night. I was already ingesting all the albums I could, dissecting the inner artwork sleeves, etc, reading all the lyrics and learning about every other metal band that I could, through promos, and even by the shirts the band members would wear of other bands lol. Seeing Death Angel/Forbidden at Allentown Airport Music Hall Pennsylvania , man I went on a blitzkrieg of shows nearly every weekend for years haha. The second show was Kreator/Morgoth. So the first band you and I saw, though in separate states on opposite coasts, they opened the door for so many more. I even ended up playing in my own self written bands, tours, records, takes, CDs and all. Hearing forbidden turn that stage into a rumbling rumble of thunder started it all up. Cheers man

I'm wondering if it's you that I ran into on a different video thread ... But it's awesome that you and I saw them the same your. DEATH ANGEL//FORBIDDEN was my first bigger venue metal show ever (I had seen some d.i.y. metal/punk/hardcore shows prior but this was the real deal). 1989 Airport Music Hall Allentown Pennsylvania. You may the The fella that posted to a comment of mine elsewhere, telling me about the forbidden show and how Exodus ended their set with "Toxic Waltz", sending the whole floor section into a mass frenzy lol. If I'm mistaking you for someone else... Still, so sick that we saw these guys in the same timeframe. Here we r decades later, still appreciating this badass stuff

1991. I was standing in line to see Forbidden and Death Angel at the outdoor Cuban Club in Tampa Fl. My friends and I all came to see two of our favorite bands. Killer scene in Tampa then. But Forbidden was in their prime as they were here. Never got to see them again.

Seriously dude?! That honestly was unwarranted. 1. Anthrax, Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer are the Big Four because they are the bands that pioneered the genre. They started the whole thing. 2. One of their biggest influences was "Metallica". Why do you think Metallica got so big and even today still hold high relevancy? It's because they inspired and influenced countless musician. It's people like you that discredit the Metal Community. You don't like like Metallica or Anthrax, fine whatever, not everybody does. But show some respect dude, or at the very least keep your hateful comments to yourself.
