External Microphone, for voice chat, even though Bluetooth or Headphone jack could be used. 3. Bezel-less 720p display, which would increase screen size as large as current LCD Switch. 4. Fixed internal storage as well as slot for expandable internal storage. 5. 32GB RAM LPDDR4, in Switch Lite revision, as well as Switch 2. Switch 2 should have optional full computing system software. (Games can still be constrained to 4GB RAM, 16GB RAM, Rest of RAM could be used for Multitasking and System Software) 6. Dockable 4K play, using direct USB-C to HDMI cable. Give option to have, Switch Lite on its own, Switch 2 on its own, or have both. 7. Two GAME CARD slots. 8. Two USB-C ports, or updated data transfer ports. 9. Those games were my childhood as im highschooler so I grew up with the wii. For people who grew up with the gamecube, they are adults who can probably get their own gamecube and gamecube games, even tho ik they are hard to get, but for people like me, I can get games that came on the wii and now if your wii or wii games are broken its almost impossible to get a new one or get it fixed. No. The switch hardware is outdated. They are going to make games for the new console the switch won't be able to run. However there might be some games that are going to be released on both consoles, or since the successor is backwards compatible what could happen is the games that the switch can run are going to be released as switch games, and you can also buy them to play them on the successor, so releasing these games for both is not neccesary if the switch can run them. But the games that the switch won't be able to run are going to be relesed as the succesor games.

I know that everyone here is excited for Switch 2 and also me cause I'm just hoping and excited to see what new games Nintendo has in store for Switch 2 like the next 3D Mario if it's a sequel to Super Mario Odyssey if we see Cappy again, a new Mario Kart Game if it's called Mario Kart 9 or Mario Kart X, Luigi's Mansion 4, a new Donkey Kong Game if it's 2D and 3D and maybe they can finally bring back King K Rool since he was back in Super Smash Bros Ultimate, and from HAL whatever they're working on for Kirby they can show a sequel for Kirby and the Forgotten Land like having new copy abilities and upgrades, new Mouthful Modes, and new playable characters like King Dedede, Meta Knight, Clawroline, and Elfilin, and a new 2D Kirby Game if it is that Kirby leak which is Kirby and the Celestial Stars and maybe showing us that new Kirby female character that looks related to Susie Haltmann which is Polly. And hopefully, we can see the GameCube Library in NSO for Switch 2 as well. But yeah I hope Switch 2 in 2025 will be awesome to see what new games this new console has in store for us. But it would be cool and funny to see Deluxe versions of Kirby Triple Deluxe and Kirby Planet Robobot.

I think what previously "damned us", with the repackaging/"Deluxing" of Wii U games for the Switch, more so than what you share we're being saved from, was Nintendo's desire to recoup losses from the failure of the Wii U. Hence, since the Switch performed so well, there's no need to do that for the next generation system, as Nintendo can comfortably invest in true new series releases. That being stated, what do I know?! 🤷🏽‍♂️

Well now, Nintendo HATH SPOKEN. Of course the successor console to the Nintendo Switch is gonna OBVIOUSLY be backwards-compatible with the original Nintendo Switch. Additionally, there is a SURE BET that there will be brand-new games for both the successor console AND the original Switch. At least the era of the original Nintendo Switch is STILL NOT over yet in my view.

It means that your data from the old switch will be transferred to your new switch, and you can play Switch games on your new switch. Think of it as like getting a new phone, you can transfer your data from your old phone to your new phone. You just need an account, and there you go.

I guess the falling sales of the Switch are leading to the reveal of the successor. I'm being honest, Splatoon's awesome, but we need Splatoon 4 as a mid-year title like Splatoon 3 was in 2022, not a launch title like Splatoon 2 was in 2017. We could get even better games if they were mid-year releases and not launch titles.
