Mental health is no joke, I suffered in silence after being sexually abused from when I was 4 until I was 9 years old. I am 44 now and first attempted suicide when I was in my 30’s, ending up in a coma. People said I was such a happy person but what lies beneath can be extremely deceiving.

@@Apricot101 thank you so much for your message, and yes there are so many children that are having their childhoods absolutely ruined. I’m so sorry that you weren’t believed by your mother, that is heartbreaking. I didn’t say anything because they threatened my family, and being a kid I believed them. But when I finally told my family in my 20’s they never questioned it, and supported me in getting help. There needs to be more awareness, it’s a tough topic to talk to kids about, and deciding what age is appropriate. But it’s better to be prepared and for children to know that they can come to their parents and be BELIEVED. Thank you again for your message, take care and have a great day 🙏🏼

What a very beautiful documentary--though I am shocked to learn that both Jazz and her Mum have passed away--I wonder if they knew of this possibility of heart failure. I would like very much to have read how they got on after this program was made. I am NYC born and bred (though I spent 13 wonderful years from 1969-1982 living and working in London), and was so happy to watch the two of them enjoying their visit here in the city. And the reunion with their family made me realize that this was such a close-knit group of people, who in an ideal world would not have lived so far apart. I felt glad when Jazz and her anxious Mum returned to Wales (the most beautiful place I've ever been!!) I feel very sad thinking of their lives having been cut short. ❤Lynn in NYC

The mother is so lazy and could've gotten a caregiver for her needs. Just demanding and makes me sick. That child should've been worrying about her schooling and studying and friends that is what is important not her mother's needs and pressures from her mother. And the mother taking jaz away from her father is DISGUSTING AND DISGRACEFUL. Her mother is straight up SELFISH!!! well she passed away and now jazz is by herself because the relationship she would've had with her father as she grew up her mother took away and her grandparents are old and need caring. Her mom passed away and she died as well
@padmasalam5267 Жыл бұрын
I believe the mum moved away, because she wanted all her daughter’s attention. It was a selfish move, but at least she tried making it on her own. May their souls Rest In Peace. Wherever you are tonight ladies, I am sending loads of hugs and kisses. I sincerely hope your souls made it into paradise. Sad state of affairs, really. 🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂.Cheers mates.....

Was so sad to hear that Jaz didn't have a better amount of time to find her feet and live a richer life of her own. Her Grandparents seemed to have given her a great sense of her own worth and obviously loved her dearly. Naomi was a truly fabulous friend - it would have been good to hear more of her interview, but the sound cut out! I hope she cherishes her time with Jaz; able to remember the good parts, and know what enrichment she brought to a young person weighed down by being a carer.

It’s actually disgusting how many people are disrespecting this girls mother, her mother passed away a few years ago, she loved just having her mum in her life , her dad has also passed away. She’s now my age (28) and doing well for her self she’s engaged and living life freely for both her and her mum, she was her mothers carer for a reason, y’all would do the same for your mum. Your all honestly disgusting and disrespectful

Erm, “not a few years ago,” almost 10. Jazz committed suicide two days ago, after a long struggle with mental illness. I am much older than Jazz, but i am doing the same for my mother. At her invitation, I’m moving in with her in about 7 months. She is geriatric and i have low vision.

@@odette6779 i hope she’s at peace. All of my friends (about 15, i believe in quality over quantity) have mental illness. Some are getting help, some are not. I don’t judge any of them. I don’t judge Jazz.

As a mother I would never think of placing the demands on my children that this mother places on Jazz. Her mother treats her like a servant. Jazz is 15 years old in this video and she does everything when her mother just as capable of taking care of herself, the animals, the home, groceries and food preparation. Jazz is amazing but definitely not the mother.

Right off, it's apparent that mum could do with some parenting classes. Jas has an incredible amount of responsibility. When she said she didn't have time to shower, that could have been a discussion rather than laying down the law and threatening to take things away. She was communicating very maturely and had a valid point, but mum shut her down. Jas clearly had a fabulous sense of style and takes very good care of her appearance. Surely missing a shower here and there wouldn't have hurt. She was quite demanding as well. It was good to see in the second part, she was nicer. Jasmine has the cutest personality.

I was married to a guy who had Achon dwarfism. When we went out into public and people would make fun of him, he would come home and mentally crash on the couch. He would not talk for the rest of the day. Totally bottom out. It was really hard on my marriage. Wish people were more understanding.
