Nah your best bet is to just be patient and not spend any stardust since you will continue to find higher level pokemon the more you level up. I hit level 21 yesterday without having spent any stardust since like level 4

The bar above the pokemon represents the maximum CP that pokemon can reach. The threshold increases as your trainer levels up. Thus it is best to save your candies and stardust until later levels as you will most likely find it hard to keep pokemon you catch at lower levels relevant when you are stronger.

Instinct is the best. valor and mystic are too try hardy. team instinct is for the real pokemon trainers. oh and btw zapdos is the only one used in Uber tournaments. articuno and moltres both have x4 weakness to ground and zapdos only has x2
