Owner of Deluxe here. Just go for this version, less hassle, as the size is bigger = more ice cream per batch. They are all loud, no way around it.

I got mine from Ninja. My husband was so skeptical, but it really is great. The friends I’ve served frozen Zoi raspberry greek yogurt to have all been amazed. My husband and I also tried the Ninja recipe for blueberry lemon and honey sorbet. We should have processed the blueberries longer, but it was still quite good. My husband now must eat gluten free, so no more fresh breads or cakes from me. Yes, I have a few good GF cakes and tarts in my repertoire, but it is a very finicky process. With the Ninja, it seems I will need to toss something in the trash.

​@lauriegold2613 Try using Krusteaz gluten-free flour. It's nearly identical to normal flour. Xanthan gum in this mix makes it better. I'm not gluten, but friends are. I can't tell a difference.

Interesting that the Breeze is more expensive than the regular size. Less parts, smaller, quieter yet more expensive. Also sold out for months now. I guess those containers from China aren't loaded up yet.

The Breeze has been discontinued. There were apparently design issues with the unit which caused Ninja to remove the new Breeze from the market.

@@denagustafson6070 perhaps "high quality" would have been a better word than "reputable". Ninja are very much at the "value" / "good-enough" quality end of the market. The kind of products you replace every few years (when they break down!). Not "rubbish", but also not exactly top-of-the-line. They're not a brand that would be on my shortlist, typically. I'd rather spend more and get a longer-lasting, better-designed, better-engineered, higher-quality product. Nobody else has taken advantage of PacoJet's expired patent though, so I might just have to suck it up and put a Ninja product in my kitchen 🤷‍♂️

Ok, was very confused how a paddle at the top of the jar was supposed to mix the frozen mixture... Now my question is how do you clean that rod that pushes the paddle down?

good question, mine has not gotten that dirty, the part that connect to the padel has gotten a little dirty and I just wipe that done, but the rod retracts up into the machine and I have not seen it yet.

I have the deluxe! What I do is fill the cannister with hot water and run it with the ice cream setting. I watch the rod come down with the blade and clean them both. Note take your smartphone and put it on selfish. Set it under the rod and you can see what needs to be cleaned further. 😊

The problem with the ninja creami is the plastic shards it leaves... they need to improve the recipient design... the blade should never touch the recipient no matter how hard the ice content is... it is really a big design flaw that can really cause health hazards.... Ninja needs to address this issue and do something about it. I had to return my machine (sadly) because of this issue with plastic... I dont want to destroy my internal orgams with plastic shards...

It doesnt do this unless you are using your machine incorrectly. If you try to use it with an uneven frozen mixture it will do this and potentially break your machine

We contacted Ninja the same day and they are sending out a replacement free of charge. They admitted there have been quality control issues causing some machines to do this.

I like slow churning cuisinart ice cream maker. It makes the real ice cream, so soft creamy and shiny. I believe slow moving paddle in any machines are superior than fast rotating blade ice cream machines.
