Your videos are always so helpful and well thought out. Thank you so much. I am a new user and you will never know how much your videos have helped me. As far as other topics go: I would really like to know how you keep your ninja foodie so clean. I bought mine used and I feel like it is never clean. Of course the fan grate is icky looking. I took it off and washed it in the dishwasher but it did not help much and I was too afraid to do anything to the inside of the pot to clean it. As it is used, I am not worried about a warranty, but I do not want to break it either. Also, the rim around the top is soooo tiny. It took me a long time to realize that I could use a very small bottle brush and get in there to clean it and push and grime or cleaner into the place that collects water when you pressure cook things. Any other tips or suggestions? I would really love a video on this if you feel that there is enough content.

Great reviews and explanations of so many items. I bought a 9” silicone round liner for my Foodi. I was always struggling to get it clean with stuff sticking to the bottom. I think I may have even damaged the bottom, though I believed the scrub pads and brush I clean with are safe. I just got the liner last week. I didn’t really know what I was buying, but I seem to have gotten lucky. How often does that happen? It’s a Silpat brand, and there are a lot of great reviews on it on KZbin. So far, my experience matches all the best reviews. It’s safe to 500 degrees, and nothing sticks to it. I literally just spray it off in the sink. Highly recommended.

I've never had any issues with things sticking, so I'm not sure why you are having that issue. I'm glad the silpat is working, I have heard great things about them. I'll have to pick one up and try it out.

I seen you recipe for bread what I wanted to know was can you use frozen bread dough in the foodi? And can you use silicone bundt pans as nd loaf pans in the foodi?
@TheSaltedPepper4 жыл бұрын
In my experience, frozen bread dough should always be thawed and allowed to rise. This can be done in the Foodi and you can then bake it in the Foodi. Yes, you can use silicone pans, but, keep in mind that they may require timing or temp adjustments because they do not conduct heat as well as metal or glass.

I am thinking about making a casserole in a regular casserole pan using the Ninja Foodi bake. Is it necessary to have the dish sitting on a rack, or can you put it directly into the foodi? TIA Sally
@TheSaltedPepper4 жыл бұрын
As long as the casserole dish won't scratch your pot, you can set it on the bottom. I used to think that a rack was needed for air flow, but a member of my FB group was having issues with getting a cake done and set it on the bottom and it cooked quite nicely because the heat from the pot cooked the bottom.

Do you have to use water under the pans you bake in? Will it hurt the Ninja Foodi if you bake without putting some water under the pans?
@TheSaltedPepper3 жыл бұрын
You don't have to use water, but you certainly can and it will not hurt anything. Some baked goods do really well with some steam.

Thanks for video. It would be great to have a Ninja foodi space cake recipe especially now it's legal in the US. I bet it would be a big hit =)
@TheSaltedPepper2 жыл бұрын
I don't even know what a space cake is, but I can guess based on the "it's legal in the US." I don't do any drugs, so that won't be something I make, but I'm sure someone will!

Can a aluminum foil cake pan be used in the Ninja Foodi? Sometimes a mom just doesn't want to clean.. so tossing a cake pan in the trash vs cleaning one is sometimes the way to go, lol Thanks so much, I'm loving your videos!
@TheSaltedPepper5 жыл бұрын
Yes, it can. Sometimes you will want to decrease the cook time or lower the temp because of the thinner walls and heat transfer.

Is this (the 7” size springform pan) for the 6.5 Lb model? Please and thank you 😊.
@TheSaltedPepper5 жыл бұрын
I use the 7" springform pan, but larger sizes fit as well. The diameter of both sizes is the same, so the 7" will fit both the 6.5 qt and the 8qt.

I just checked and they are there. When the words pop up in the upper right corner, you click on them and that will take you to that recipe. As far as products I use, they are listed in the video description. Let me know if you still can't find them and I'm more than happy to help. Just let me know which videos you need the links for.

Cake pan even bake strips for the outside of your pans may help cook them easier. Check out Preppy kitchen. He uses them all the time in his cake videos. Perfect flat cake layers.

I looove your videos. Thank you for your contributions. I got a Ninja Foodi and I am very excited. I was wondering if you could make a video on the limitations of the foodi, or perhaps what you cant cook in it.
@TheSaltedPepper5 жыл бұрын
While certain cuts of meat and other foods don't do as well under pressure as others, I haven't found one thing I can't cook it in using one of the function. The only limiting factor I've found is size.

Love your videos been watching them nearly all day. I've also been to Amazon, Ninja, bed and bath websites, etc. I have noticed something and I keep going back and forth on it in my Amazon cart. From the appearance of your foodi, it looks like an OP401 model that is totally push button. Now they have an FD401 and FD402, the FD402 is not available on Amazon yet. The visible difference is the controls on the front of the FD401/402 which has a knob, and I'm sure there are a few more differences. I'm just not sure of a knob feature. If you didn't already have one, would you order the Deluxe stainless steel model with the knob? Or order the push button one like you already have. Apparently the FD 8qt models are XL. I'm just so confused and the price difference isn't very much. Please help. Thank you so much. Also can you bake a box cake in here, such as Duncan Hines or something like that? Thanks Again. I know I will be watching your videos quite often especially after I actually order my foodi.

I will link to an article that I wrote that you might find helpful, but it sounds like you have done a lot of research already. I have the OP401 model, but I use the OP305 (6.5qt) in most of my videos and to test my recipes. I'm short and the added height of the 8 qt makes it harder for me to see in the pot. LOL As far as the FD402 model, I can't find the differences between that and the FD401. The 4 differences that I know of between the OP401 and the FD models are the design and look, the knob, there is a two layer deluxe rack, and a yogurt function. Personally, I have an IP with a knob and thought I would like it, but I didn't. It takes longer to program in my opinion. You can make yogurt in the OP401 using dehydrate, so the yogurt button isn't absolutely necessary. It might be easier, but I don't know because I don't have that model. You can buy the deluxe rack separately, but it's $40. I don't think I'd spend the extra money on the newer model, when you can get the older 8 qt for under $200 unless you are just in love with the new design. At the end of the day, I'm sure you will be happy with whatever you choose. Here is that article: thesaltedpepper.com/how-to-use-the-ninja-foodi/

Thank you so much for your response. The two I had in my amazon cart with only a 20.00 difference in price was the OP401 $249.00 and the FD401, if I had made up my mind an hour earlier I would have gotten the FD401 for 226.00. When my bf told me to just pick one already I did the eeny, meeny, miney, moe method, and clicked on the fd401 model. The two were already in my cart so I wouldn't have to go searching for them again. When I opened my cart and clicked on it it said No longer available from this seller, and of course all the other ones were 279.00. So my bf told me to get it, and if I didn't like it he would give it to his son and purchase me the other one. Luckily I'm not having to buy it. He thinks bigger and newer is always better, but after I read your reply about being short, well I'm only 5'3" and am also having to purchase a cart on wheels, so I've been doing a lot of measuring, and then remeasuring. Thank you so much for your advice. I know if it is too tall for me to work with, I will more than likely give the big newer version to his son and purchase the OP305.
