I bought a big ninja skillet at Walmart and I like it and everything however the other day I fried an egg on low heat because that’s the only way I personally will cook an egg is low and slow with a little oil and I forgot to turn the burner off and what little bit of oil was left in the pan basically burned and chard took a little doing I was able to clean the pan out and it still releases you can still use it I guess how ever my concern is is it safe to use? Stick a bounty towel or two in between your cookware and they won’t scratch up

Good job with the review Joe! I got the 11 piece set from Walmart for 149 back in January. These have been great. So far, I think they are holding up better than everything I've tried the last 20 years or so. It does take a couple minutes more to heat the pans, but they cook really evenly. I really think they will last the 5 years. Impressed!

I'm around 6 months also. Mine are holding up great. 1 minor scratch (my fault). Still mostly nonstick. The little bit of tack it does have gives you the ability to brown and crisp food nicely. Best thing, no flakes of Teflon!! I was so impressed with them, I bought a set for a relative as a gift, and they absolutely LOVE them too.... My ONLY complaint is that the hole in the handle (I have the premium version) doesn't fit any of the hooks I have. C'mon Ninja, you must have known ppl would want to hang these things up!!! How about a slightly relocated hole in the handle LOL.

A six month review is a good test mark. Thank you for your review. Nicely done. I look forward to your 1 year review. Maybe then I will take the Ninja plunge. The many negative reviews I've seen have held me at bay up to now. Real life tests are far more valuable than clever marketing, which is largely deceptive and untrustworthy. I have been trying to find an America's Test Kitchen review on the Ninja nonstick. Again, thank you.

Is there going to be a big difference between the regular and premium ones?
@YourEverydayJoe3 жыл бұрын
I think the main difference is in the quality of the materials used such as the coating and aluminum handles. Not sure how long each will last but I've been using the premium version for almost a year now and everything seems to be holding up very well.
@joshread37403 жыл бұрын
I have the Walmart (regular) versions. The aluminum base is a 3.3mm instead of the 4.5mm of the Premium, though 3.3mm is still pretty thick by nonstick pan standards. In addition, the handles are pressed and formed (hollow) stainless steel instead of die-cast like the Premium. Finally, the exterior is a black silicone polyester coating instead of the hard anodized coating. That's honestly the only real drawback to me; I don't like the exterior finish of these. Hard anodized looks far superior. That all being said, the regular editions are still fantastic pans. The best I've personally ever had, and the nonstick interior is identical.

Our Caliphon has problem: water "sitting" in the space between glass & metal rim. We wash and put it in our convection oven facing into the moving air stream. I assume any oven would work, just prefer the convctions built in air movement. We set to 200 degrees for 8 minutes, oven size/heating etc varies, find out what works for YOU so that the water does not remain/ "sit" get GREEN . Would think that the handles would determine maxi heat for your particular set. The "left over" water does/can/will generate a green area/mold(?) in ours. It's disgusting YES! if not dired/evaporated immediately!! THAT sitting water/green did not look at all pleasant and wanted to return them after 1st seeing it but our FIX is this, it's an extra step but worthwhile in my humble opinion. Not sure if that is the problem "Joe" is talking about/having (time: 3:52-) but should work for any lids that trap water, solves it every time! This was a Helpful/Realistic review and thanks for doing a follow up that's what matters to us/ over time surfaces condition!!

Just like g'moms cast iron. If you're not happy with super heavy pans, then think again about buying these things. I fried eggs this morning and everything was fine but that Greenpan hanging over my stove just might not get pitched. It does an excellent job and it's probably half the weight.

I know that’s what it’s described but do you think it works like Staub or Lecreuset?
@YourEverydayJoe3 жыл бұрын
@ppineapple Glad it was helpful! Unfortunately I don't own either Staub or Le Creuset. These are cast iron which are much heavier and a thicker material. Such pans have much more even heat and can handle higher temperatures for searing. Ninja is "Premium" but Staub or Le Creuset are "Professional" brands. Sorry i could not provide more info.

Sam's club where I live have a good deal on a dual 10"/12" combo for $52. Almost bought them today. lol Not sure if they are the premium or not (likely not at that price). Still, I had to finally throw away my previous non-stick frying pan (over 8 years olf; abused the bejezus out of it, but never used metal utensils on it since it can't handle that. Looking for a replacement. Might bite the bullet and get the Ninja Foodi no stick. Have a Ninja Foodi Digital Air Fryer/Oven that I really like (bought it last April). Thanks for the 6th month review. Saw Freakin' Reviews video already, but it was for a new frying pan. What I like about this one is you can, if you so choose, use metal utensils. Also, the thick cladding means pancakes would come out great (one of the main reasons I have a frying pan is for pancakes). A plus is you can sear and go straight in the oven to finish things off as well. :)

Hi Joe, I'm new to the Ninja Foodi Never Stick Premium Cookware. I cooked pork chops in my large pan and added some sauce near the end of the cooking. I placed the glass lid on the pan and after a minute or two I heard a cracking noise. I thought that the glass lid was cracking. However after I removed the lid I still heard the cracking noise coming from the pan. Do you have any idea what was happening?
@YourEverydayJoe3 жыл бұрын
@Joann Grey Thanks for the question. I have also experienced the crackling sounds, I think this sound is the heat expansion of aluminum rivets against handle or the steal ring of the lid. The pan handle and the ring of the lid seem to be made of a different material than the rivets holding it in place. I have now been using the premium pans for about a year and have not seen any cracks or peeling yet. Hope that helped. 😊👍

I started looking into pan replacements as my complete set of Gotham Steel fry pans have disappointed me so much. They still LOOK fantastic - but forget doing any eggs on them or French toast - even with butter as they stick terribly. I do still use them for other things but not breakfast. After your first review, I decided to research and jump in to give this brand a try, and picked up the Ninja Foodi NeverStick 5qt Sauté Pan with Glass Lid. Honestly, my first take I was initially disappointed. I made French toast and was getting annoyed that the egg and bread appeared to be sticking...but I figured there was a learning curve compared to the Gotham Steel - and boy was I right. After the initial feeling things were sticking, I lifted the food to flip and to my surprise they were not stuck even at all - you just couldn't slide them around the pan! (like those infomercials have you believe!) I was impressed with it from then on - and clean up - wow, super easy. I don't use it nearly enough - but my next attempt will be from stove top to oven to see how it performs. I do love I can put everything in "one pot meal" style - it's definitely been a great investment compared to the Gotham Steel pans which seemed to be great to have eggs "swirling around" the fry pan - short term, but in reality the non-stick gimmick of them did not hold up over time. (As a side note, the Gotham Steel pasta drainer and the Square multi-use pans are still working great - but the frying pans feel useless to cook eggs on now.) TY for your honest reviews!

I purchased the complete set of this last November as a Christmas gift for my wife, so we didn't start using them until after Christmas, so about 6 months of use. They suck. The non-stick surface on one pot is bubbling and peeling off in the bottom of the pan. All the pots and pans that have lids have wear spots around the edge that has gone through the coating and shows bare silver metal. The 1st pan that started showing the silver they replaced. Now that the pot's non-stick is coming off and I called them they are refusing to replace the pot unless I pay $24.99 shipping fee for the replacement. I will NEVER buy anything Ninja again.
