It's trash. My Ninja pan scratched almost immedietly. Mom thought it was cast iron and she scraped it for under 5 seconds with a fork. I caught her in the act but it was too late; the coating came off in 2 places instantly and was no longer safe to cook with because it would just keep flaking off! Also, the nonstick coating is not nonstick forever. It needs oil, just like anything else. I don't know where they get off saying it's good for such high temperature. It's NOT. The nonstick stopped working after getting too hot for oil one time.

I'll leave the same comment I did on the thread of another upload regarding this cookware: I bought the Ninja 10 pc. set about two years ago, and I have loved this cookware....I have used many different pans including via working in a professional kitchen. When I examined the cookware in my local BBAB showroom, I was very impressed with the design and construction, as it compared to other brands....even All-Clad (Granted, The All-Clad available there probably wasn't its top line)....I had read and continued to read many reviews, from both regular Joe home cooks and professional articles, and in one article I read, the author stated that "it was like cast iron and non-stick had a baby!".....I immediately identified with this thought! Yes, they DO take a bit to heat up, but once they get going, they REALLY get going....and I have never experience any hot spots.....VERY even cooking! That being said, I have experienced a negative, in my particular case: After about two years of pretty heavy use, I discovered that the non-stick coating was "bubbling" up on the bottom of the 1.5 and 2.5 qt. sauce pans....but ONLY those two pieces.....and I don't believe this is from any abuse, on my part. However, I have never noticed any particles releasing onto my food or any blatant bare spots in the pan...for whatever that's worth. Sadly, it appears that I never registered my cookware (I checked on the website) so I probably don't have a leg to stand on....but I did message NINJA Kitchens via their Facebook page the other day, and am currently awaiting a response...so we'll see. Note: Unless it's a fatty cut or type of meat, I NEARLY always use some sort of fat (oil, butter...often both) to cook with, even in a "non-stick" pan....I find it cooks better and gives it a base flavor. *BTW....there is a 3 qt. high-sided sauté pan that comes with a lid in the set, and the lid DOES fit on that fry pan, as well.....and you can purchase that pan separately. *(Overall, I still love this cookware!)
@YourEverydayJoe2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the comment, if you register the cookware it shows that you will have a 10 year warranty. After I registered it, I called them and they were very helpful and sent me a replacement pot at no charge, although they tried to charge me for shipping. Make sure you refuse to pay it. They made no argument and waived the charges. I received it in about 3 days and am having no issues with replacement. 😎👍

i actually had 2 of the same size pan and no way to cook over a fire and the wood burning was coated with something so i didnt think it was safe, so i used the extra pan over the fire like a cast iron. the fire got really hot so you can slightly tell the difference in the one used on the fire and one not. however still no flaking or anything, and things still DONT stick one the pans have a nice deep cut in it from the ninja foodi knife never dull set and i was mad when someone in the family did that however even that spot doesnt stick, and with the "forever" warrenty i could probably get it replaced but i mean it still works fine EVEN over a fire like cast iron and not needing any oil

I got the cheaper set at Target a year and a half ago and while the inside of all the pans has held up, I had one round pan dent to a completely straight edge somehow and the outside color coating is cheap and scratched off in multiple places especially on the bottom edge and sides. Other than the one pan that bent which means the lid doesn't fit, all the other issues are cosmetic. The pans still are as non stick inside as day 1 otherwise.

I do love almost all my ninja pans/pots, but the 11” square griddle seems to have started flaking off after the first use cooking sausage links. I intend to contact them about a replacement. One other complaint is the pan lids retaining water, trapped in where the glass is enclosed into the metal. It eventually evaporates or drains after leaving in the drying rack.

One question - I purchased an 11 piece set, but the pots are all stainless steel, not the non-stick demo'd in this video. I didn't know to look for that, but from what I can see, stainless - while not non-stick - is also very good. Your thoughts? The package I bought new specifically says "Ninja Foodi Neverstick (this is where I stopped reading ;/) ESSENTIAL STAINLESS. I only mention this as a tip to other newbies that "Ninja Foodi Neverstick" sets aren't necessarily all non-stick. You may need the "premium" one.

Thanks for the question. You cannot go wrong with stainless steel, if I had to choose the Ninja cookware today I would probably get the stainless steel version as there is no need for the nonstick coating on the outside of the pans. @YourEverydayJoe3 жыл бұрын
@Stefan Poulin thanks for the question. I have used infused oils in the pan without any issue. I believe they are referring to the artificial aerosol "nonstick" type sprays. If it's an oil that you make at home that uses a pump, it should be fine.

I was also worried about cooking marinated meats that contained vegetable oil in the marinade. I’ve used an old stainless pan for those applications out of caution. You keep saying there's no seasoning (on the chicken and the egg). Is there a reason? Can you season the food and then cook it? Will it stick if you season the food first?
@YourEverydayJoe2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question, in this video I'm demonstrating the nonstick ability of the skillet as the grainyness of some seasoning will create a barrier on the meat that may get seen as cheating the non stick ability. When I use these pans for my everyday cooking I always season and or marinade the food and it doesn't stick. Hope this better explains it. 😊👍

I still make eggs using my skillet and still function as expected. I make sure to preheat the pan for 1-2 minutes, then prior to cracking the eggs in the hot pan always allow the eggs to get to room temperature. Once they are in the pan I allow them to completely set before trying to move them. These pans are not super slick so they may stick initially but should release without much effort.

I just purchased these and on my first time cooking on this cookware the handles qnd the rim apround the tops burned and could not be cleaned. I would definitely advise people to purchase different cookwear.

I have had mine a year and the 16 piece set was $369. I am already seeing 3 pieces I use all the time degrade. I bought an extra set so I’m good. But I will not buy again. It is really great until it is not. Way better than Cephalon, which has never lasted even a year for me. Even the 3 bad Ninja pans that are starting to show use are usable. So the set lasts about a year from someone who cooks daily.

2-29-2024 I bought a 16 piece set on 1-24-2022 and in the past 6 weeks all the pieces have started pitting. I use only silicone spatulas on my cookware and they agreed to replace 5 pieces and claimed 3 pieces were superficially scratched and not covered. At a cost to me Shipping was $28 and will take a month to be delivered. They have a 10 year warranty but clearly this cookware is no better than most not stick cookware.

Your not rough on coating. Try useing stainless still utensils or heat upto 900 degrees and run a steel key on it at 10lbs force and see if coating comes off

@@TheNyclooker fact is the on TV pans ectra are made for today's modern very small family or single life ware people mainly eat out or are working all the time. They cannot hold up to the usage even the 1980s had for wear and tear. Only pure cast iron or stainless can stand up to that type of uszge.

@@kennethharrison4847 These are fine I cook for 3 daily with them. However buy what you see fit. If you haven't tried them then you should and if you don't like them return them for refund.. but you seem like you're set in your ways.. I never said they'd last for ever but for a couple of hindered they'll last 3-5 years

I've owned 3 Calphalon nonstick premier frying pans for 15yrs now ( 8,10 & 12in pans) and they are showing barely any wear. Now understand these are not my only cookware items i used to cook foods as i have Visons by Corning 10pc and a Wolfgang Puck stainless steel 18pc set. Istruggle to understand why people are so mentally set on just owning 1 type of cookware to handle 80% of their home meals. My parents and grandparents had some of everything from Copper, Aluminum, Stainless, Glass/Pyrex, and Nonstick items in the kitchen cabinets.
@SSHitMan Жыл бұрын
I've owned at least 5 Calphalon pans, and I used them a lot as they were my top set of pans. Never got more than a few years out of them before they have lost all of their non-stick properties. They do go in the dishwasher, but they are supposedly dishwasher-safe.

@@SSHitMan and they've said for at least 40yrs now do not put Teflon coated cookware in a Dishwasher because the high heat and detergent shortens the coating lifespan dramatically.... I have had a set for 2 years. In the last 3 months 4 of the pans have started to bubble up and degrade. I bought 2 sixteen piece sets so I have a back up. NEVER fry oil in these pans or make caramel. Those two things get too hot for these pans. I will not purchase again.

OK; I'm now convinced. They have a 2 frying pan combo at Sam's Club near where I live for around $52 (normally much higher). If it's still available and on sale next week, I guess I will have to use some of my paycheck to get the set. lol :)

@@YourEverydayJoe Misread; it was $59 plus tax; purchased the set today and did brown some hamburger in it (yes; kept it easy). Pretty great results with burger that is for sure; browned very evenly. Told my sister, if I don't find a use forthe 10.5", I might give it to her. Needed the bigger pan to replace my old one and so far very much liking it. :)

I saw this review (and others) before buying this set... We are a family of 3 people. I am very disappointed on this set, had it for 2 years now, first year, was ok, still holding well with some scuff marks, but now after 2 years is horrible, they use paint to coat this thing and is peeling off. I don't want my son to eat any of that paint and I feel for the price and this should have lasted more!! Previously we had a Tramontina set who was wayyy cheaper and lasted more. I called the warranty a couple of times, they will exchange the pan, but you have to pay the shipping, and it ends up costing as a new one.

Don't Buy. I was so happy and in love with my Nija cookware when I got it and told everyone I could how great they are but six months later I see so much peeling around the rims and in my medium pot it felt bumpy and I was like what the heck and then I couldn't believe my eyes while I heated the water before adding a flavored knorr rice packet; the bottom of the pan was bubbling up. And when I emptied it I smoothed out the bubbles and this yucky brown liquid probaly water mixed with what ever crud from the pan under the nonstick coating smooshed out from under the coating. Super gross. Also I bought the 10 piece set and added the medium pan an extra 3 1/2 quart pan in the dark grey plus I bought the 8 quart pot in red and the red is peeling so easily off the pot. Keep in mind I only use silicone utensils and use towels between the pots when stacking. And the red pot has only been used 4 times.

So I purchased this set based on videos like yours... I must admit... My experience is NOT the same as yours. These pans stick after a few months. I cannot cook an egg without a pool of oil or it will stick. I never used metal utensils or anything but these pans are not non stick any more. I have to season them like I would a cast iron pan for them to be simi non stick. Honestly... I would not recommend this ninja cookware... I regret the purchase. Wish I purchased a nice stainless steel set. I have had good experiences with other ninja products but these are a dud if you frequently use them on a gas stove.. maybe if you don't cook often... They will hold up for you... But if you use them daily.... Good luck!

Funny story. Ninja says “lifetime” warranty. In the literature inside it says it’s the lifetime of the cook ware which is 5 years.
@steveloving2 жыл бұрын
Actually says that on the box as well. Most pots and pans have a 5 year lifetime warranty as they call it, very common.

funny thing about cast iron...you never have to ask "how's it holding up ?" l got skillets over 100 years old...they've still got several hundred years left...while the fads come and then go ...to the landfill.
