Install complete and boy does it sound GLORIOUS! I found that with my current woolich flash, I do have to leave the air switching valve in place. Otherwise the bike codes and produces Zero power. I noticed that that initial throttle bite is gone. Very smooth. Feels great!!

Thanks for the vid, it just helped me install my TS BOV on my H2SX without any issues. The installation is slightly different because my bike doesn't have that canister you portrait

Ok, so I had set my BOV but man that thing would just let out pressure like there is no tomorrow.. i put it back to use the solenoid

Did this mod. Its fun. Minor difference in my install as I had a boost gauge. Eu model has no cainster and i already had ais removed. 1) airbox nipple remain. Direct hose from nipple to boost gauge. Otherwise, hose was connected to bottom connector of solenoid. 2) hose from boost gauge to center connector of solenoid removed. 3) hose from top connector of solenoid connected to blow off valve. Didnt have any hose to place a screw to.

About to start this this weekend 😬 I think once I have the tank off and can see how it is now, this will make sense. When I was in there last time, I left the emission canister in place. I think that is what's confusing me. I can't remember what it all looks like. I have block off plates to install as well.

Ok cool, thanks. I also wanted to thank you for doing the video on the BOV. I recently installed mine, now thanks to your video have to re-route somethings to get it working correctly. Thanks again. One more thing to ask you about, the FTC auto blipper, I recently installed mines, having trouble with it, it only auto blipp smooth at 8-10000 rpms, below that you get this jerk feeling. Also ruining into the issue with the quickshift deactivating from the ECU, check engine light comes on with the troubleshoot light, KQS starts blinking on the screen. Leaving the bike off for a second resets everything. Sending ftc a email regarding that situation, but want to see if you had any issues with yours

Hi Alex, I actually don't run the autoblipper. Flashtune sent me the linkage early in 2017 but I never installed it. I'm not really a fan of it due to the issues you mention. To my knowledge, there is a way to tune the timing of the autoblip but I'm not 100% certain. Try the H2 group on facebook. There are a few guys there who have done the mod. What a lot of guys are doing also is installing the ZX10R linkage/sensor.

In the meantime, if you plan on riding the bike hard, you might want to consider VP Racing C12 fuel. Before I had the intercooler, I ran this fuel and I didn't struggle so much with boost temps. The fuel somehow kept the engine Boost Temps running about 10*-20* F cooler.

Thanks for the info, this year I only ride gently on the streets...next year when I got more time I hope get more trackdays :-) The bike got only 67 km on the clock so it´s not even broken in yet.

Will removing just my air canister cause my bike to throw a code? I’m using the woolich USB software and they don’t have an option for disabling the code for the air switch valve, that will have to stay. Just got word my YagerWerx intercooler will be getting shipped out in the coming days so once I’m back under the tank I will make sure to re route my BOV directly from throttle bodies. Also, what made you upgrade to the stage 3 Gear? 250 on stock wheel base not enough for you anymore?! Haha. Great upload BTW, this seems much less complicated than it looked when you wrote it out to me in text format 😂

I think the only time you'll throw a code is if you disconnect the air switch valve connector (blue). Congrats on your intercooler. Travis is a good dude and he's helped me out on a couple of occasions. I put the Stage 3 gear in just for kicks and giggles. The stage 2 gear was plenty good. I'll need to tune it on the dyno but in the meantime I pulled out 2* of ignition timing everywhere to play it safe.

Turbo, it is me again. Sorry to bother u again but i have another question. I have installed the Turbosmart BOV but i am not sure it is working correct. I have used the vacuum line comming from the throttlebodies to open the BOV. The problem is when i start up the bike for the first time it takes a while for the BOV to start working. At first it doesn't open at all. I ride about a half a mile and rev the engine a couple of times then suddenly the BOV starts to work. When it works it works great and functions like it should all the time. The sound is absolutely great and exactly what i was hoping for. Only when the bike hasn't run for some time and i start it up the BOV doesn't work. Only after revving it to about 8000 or 9000 rpm it suddenly wakes up and after that it functions great. I have already contacted the seller about this but haven't had an answer yet but i would also like to know your opinion about this. Does your BOV act the same as mine or does it work straight away when u start up the bike. Thank you very much! Best regards, Nazar.

Do you know what size cap you used to block off the big hose that connected the OEM BOV that recirculated air back in ? Also what size safety clamps did you use on 2 small ones you blocked off ?

I’m sorry I don’t remember. Lookup a company called Extreme Creations in Australia. The engineer there should have all the specs.

Great video very informative 👌I'm ordering a new H2 next week and I'm just an average street rider for most part😉 my question is by putting a full exhaust system block off plates and sprint air filter and having the ECU reflashed would this be sufficient enough best bang for my buck

Just throw an exhaust and filter on it and you should be good to go. The bike is crazy fast. I didn't flash my bike until spending a season on the bike to get used to it. I can hook you up with an exhaust if you're in the USA. www.vandemonUSA.com.

@@Turbo329 thanks so much for replying back to me I'm not sure what system I'm puting on it at the moment vandemon system I think be to loud here in Ireland loud system are garda/cop magnates.i would have assumed to pull a full system on you need to have it flashs interesting 🤔

All Vandemons come with a free noise reducer insert that keeps the noise to near stock levels. About 96db. Just an FYI

Tom Thumb no need at all. The bike is rich from the factory so the exhaust will lean things up slightly and it will run crisper while picking up about 7-10 more horsepower.

No additional power. It just protects your engine from melting pistons when you start boosting.

Is it possible to mount the Turbosmart BOV the other way around? U have the blow off opening facing to the upper right but wouldn't it be better to have it faced to the lower left so less water and dirt can make it to the opening?

I believe you can but you may need to source a longer hose from the cylinders.

Question for you bro. I have a check engine light on my H2. Code 64 for the air switch valve. It turned on immediately after installing my flashed ecu. I checked all connectors, fuses and hoses. Everything is fine but the check engine light is still on. Could this just be due to the air to fuel ratio being off? Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you!

Did you remove the carbon emissions box? If so, keep the air switch valve connector plugged in since your ECU flash didn’t disable it. It’s one of the two connectors under the tank towards the front-right-hand side near the frame. I forget which color it was. Brown or blue I can’t recall.

@@Turbo329 I did not remove the carbon emissions box. I also left the air switch valve plugged in. I also tried unplugging it to see if that would work. The check engine light still remains. My only thought here is that the air switch valve may be disabled within the ecu but since I have everything hooked up and plugged in it's confusing the system. Is that even possible or am I way off on my thought here? Thank you for your help!

Having a problem with idle after installing flash and bov and block off plates I’m curious do you think that’s a vacuum issue? Flash was done by Yagerwerx I’d love ur feed back Ty

Sounds like it could be a vacuum issue somewhere. I’d take it back to Travis and have him take another look.

@@Turbo329 when it idles its doing a idle hunt the other issue I think is fuel if idling and then rev’d and release throttle rpm drop and stalls I’m going have him remote in when I get it in dyno im in NY Thanks again have a great holiday weekend

What if i do the modification but keep the OEM BOV? Doesn't that give the same result? Maybe a bit less soundeffect?

Yes, the Intercooler kit will work with the stock BOV. It comes with a recirc hose that routes the blowoff back to the ram air tube to be recirculated into the plenum.

Hi Turbo, what i actually ment was modifying the BOV only. Keeping the stock BOV but removing the hoses and hook it up straight to the throttle bodies vacuum. But never mind i already ordered the Turbosmart BOV. I realy hope it will cure the stutter/surging at low rpm. It's a nice bike but the stutter is very anoying and i am considering selling the bike because of it. Let's hope the BOV upgrade fixes it!

I bought my gears about a year ago from Bear Racing located in South Africa. If you decide to buy gears, do your homework and be careful. They can end your bike if not inspected regularly and tuned properly.

how much engine braking do you get in first gear at 75 mph? My mechanic did your install and my bike still has a lot of engine braking.

Theres a KEBC setting on the dash. Did you adjust that setting for less engine braking?

I got a akrapovic full exhaust, flash, multiple tunes, turbosmart valve, used kebc, and servobuddy. The back tire does lock up from engine braking when I am above 70 in 1st gear. If you drop the throttle or stop accelerating a little bit in high rpms, the bike does full engine braking and slams forward. Mechanic called kawasaki techs, they don't know what to do. How much engine braking does your bike have when you go to 5000 rpm in 1st and come off the throttle?

The blowoff valve helped out with my engine braking and the KEBC is in the least intrusive setting.

Hi Nazar, my Flashtune file only removes throttle body restrictions and raises the rpm to 13,500rpm. I did most of my fueling and ignition mapping with the PCV and Power Commander Ignition Module. So my flash file would probably be useless to you. It’s the base map on Flashtune’s app from 2016.
