on the one hand, the mod needs more to it to tighten it up or at least follow thru on set ups. On the other, the general ideas in this mod are very nice. An older couple who have been friends a long time and finally get together. Maybe Gus could have even know Pam before her father left, so it's a bit awkward to make advances as he knows she was hurt from the whole thing. They get into habits and routine until they can't take it anymore. It's honestly a great concept that just needs more time to cook. (also Pam barraging into Lewis's house yelling and then him yelling back was goddamn genius. I was laughing hard for a good minute.)

Nah, I actually love this. It fits the tone of the game better than most of the mods I’ve seen? The events are vaguely depressing and more focused on developing their relationship as a whole than their romance. Given how many people in the valley have sad lives but ultimately find some joy in them, I think it’s fitting.

I agree, obviously the mod put in the effort to say that they've known and liked eachother for a long time. Sometimes things don't go "as they should" and you get some odd couples in the world. I do think there should have been an officially dating event before marriage though. Honestly I found the reactions to something imperfect a little off-putting this video. Though I guess I do understand the concerns about Gus enabling her but I think that's also just part of small town life like that. Is it really that much better to have her buy her alcohol at joja and drink alone at home completely shut off from the rest of her tiny world? Gus enabled her but also tried to make a difference and Pam has to try and improve before they really get together though it does kind of look like that didn't even matter in the end. I think the writing could have been a little bit better but sometimes love is awkward and messy and not logical.

Personally I ship Linus and Gus because how respectful Gus is of Linus's lifestyle, but also just stepping out to make sure he's living a good life. I wish there was more interactions with Linus and the other villagers. I understand he had been treated poorly previously (at least as suggested through some dialogue...), but even then being able to see him forming friendships in a way that he can build more self-esteem and confidence in himself would be cool. Like could you imagine if Emily started some sort of meditation group, and Linus joined and some of the villagers were shocked? But then they come to accept and learn more about him. The only thing I wish this mod did was address the bartender marrying an alcoholic. Even if it was just a line or two about Gus refusing to serve alcohol to Pam once they’re married or even the couple admitting it’s a real struggle but Gus still supports Pam’s rehab. It takes addicts a LOT of attempts to get completely sober and Concerned Ape did an amazing job with Pam’s high friendship scene with her saying how a new house and even prayer can’t fix everything, so I’d like if the mod addressed that too with Gus added to her support system instead of enabling her)
