Nah, Trombone Champ was a loser for me too because it sounds like the trombone is farting, and the announcer was sounding pretty disgusted as he was showing us the game.

I'm glad we're getting the sequel to DK 94 on the Switch. I like this gameplay much more than the following gaming in that series. I loved Another Code and sequel being remade! I've always wanted to play them. Princess Peach's game looks amazing!! LM2 is still a winner for me since now my son and my wife will play it. (An HD port should be called a remaster, strictly speaking) I'm concerned about the lack of info regarding updates of outdated gameplay of Tomb Raider. F-Zero 99 will get a bunch more people caring about the series, which it needs to succeed. I wouldn't be surprised if we got GX Remaster next year. Unicorn Overlord, besides the name, was a standout reveal for me. And I'm glad I'll finally be able to afford 1000 year door. I really enjoyed this Direct, especially considering we're still getting great games so far into the Switch's life Great video as always ❤

Good point about F-Zero! Hoping F-Zero 99 can drum up enough enthusiasm to justify another full game. I’ve been playing it and it’s really fun. Totally agree that these are some great titles to be sending the switch off with - even though there are a lot of remakes on the way I’m still very excited. You absolutely need to play TTYD when it drops! Glad you enjoyed the video. Always great to hear your thoughts!

If you're a fan of Mario characters, this was the Direct for you. They all look very fun. I mean the Mario RPGs are amazing. I'm actually very hyped about Mario Vs Donkey Kong as I had that game many years ago and loved it! I can't wait to revisit many of these classic games!

Not ngl, I'm kinda dissapointed that were're getting Daisy Circuit. I like it, but there were better tracks that could've got in. Also, did you know that your copy of Paper Mario just lost about half of its value?

I’m thinking they’re saving a lot of material for the retro tracks in Mario Kart 9. As for Paper Mario… no comment.

GameGuy peak returns. While I also woulda preferred having a full-on F-Zero Game, I think F-Zero 99 looks like a lot of fun and could help introduce F-Zero to a lot of people. Hopefully, it will lead to a full game. Also why does Detective Pikachu 2, and Luigi's Mansion 2 look so bad.

These were my Winners and Losers. I've also included Mehs because why not, and some of them are worth mentioning. Some not so much which I'll usually say "not much to talk about" or "not a big fan of so and so" if that's the case. Winners 👍: Prince of Persia (Kinda looks like this game took notes from Dead Cells.) Horizon Chase 2 (I've always been a fan of customizing my own stuff in games.) Super Mario RPG (Definitely looking forward to this.) Princess Peach Showtime (If I get my hands on this, I'll give it a try.) Tomb Raider (The new graphics look a little odd, but it can switch between the new and old graphics and it looks pretty good too.) Wartales (I'll play it if I get my hands on it.) Luigi's Mansion 2 (Always wanted to try one of these games.) F-zero 99 (This looks like a nightmare, a fun nightmare mind you.) Wargroove 2 (Kinda looks like what Star Wars Battlefront 2005's Galactic Conquest was, and it allows players to make their own campaigns which was a win for me.) Dave the Diver (An unexpected game, but one that looks interesting and creative. So it's a welcomed unexpected game.) MK8 Final Wave (Diddy Kong and Funky Kong are in it, that's a win for me.) Mehs 🤷‍♂: Splatoon 3: Side Order DLC (I guess it looks good) Mario vs Donkey Kong (Looks like a great game but the presentation of it looked mediocre at best.) Another Code (Maybe it's because I'm not a fan of walking simulators, I dunno.) Saga Emerald Beyond (Looks like another Ocopath Traveler type game, not much else.) Detective Pikachu Returns (Glad it was able to get a game of it's own, the film felt like it was begging for one. Not much else to say about it since I'm not much of a fan of Pokémon.) Zelda & Ganondorf Amibo (Maybe because I don't understand how Amibos work.) Bandle Tale (Not much of a fan of League of Legends) Song of NuuNuu (Same as Bandle Tale, except this one seemed poorly presented.) Eiyuuden Chronicles (Not much to say.) Among Us (Kinda lost interest to this game last year.) Losers 👎: Super Crazy Rhythm Castle (I've stopped trusting Konami after what they did to Metal Gear and Contra.) Spy Anya: Operation Memories (The title is cringy as $$$$.) Trombone Champ (Why does it sound like the trombone is farting? The announcer even sounded disgusted when he was trying to present it.) Battle Crush (Really? Do we need another kill each other Battle Royal? I don't.) Contra: Operation Galuga (Again, I don't trust Konami after the last time they gave us a Contra game.) Unicorn Overlord (That is the saddest name I've ever seen.) Xenoblade Amibos (Do we really need characters from a furbie $$$ game?) Sora Amibo ($$$$ you Sora, you stole from actual imaginative characters like Waluigi, Rayman, Shantae, and others that aren't Anime Sword Boys.) Eastward: Octopia DLC (This is proving that it's like Stardew Valley if the people behind it didn't care about it.) Ultimate Winner 🏆: Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door (WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA [Technical Difficulties, Please Stand By.] I was not expecting this. I am getting memories of this flying at me now. I am definitely excited for this one.) Ultimate Loser 💩: Warioware Move It (Why am I getting flashbacks of One Two Switch?)

I'm excited for LM2 remaster but I do wish it was a remake. Or in the very least give it qol improvements like turning off E.gadd's calls or adding features from 3's Scarescraper.

imma be honest pokemon spin offs majority wise turn out better than alot of the mainline franchise games tbh more so recently than ever from mystery dungeon, rangers, colosseum, and ofc the detective pikachu line

Fair point - I think Colosseum and XD Gale of Darkness are two of my favorite games in the whole franchise. Though Mystery Dungeon has never been able to hold my interest - I've tried!

Seeing Mario vs DK just brought me back to my childhood. A little disappointed with the wave 6 teaser since this most likely means one of the 4 GCN tracks got scrapped and replaced.... for the 8th Wii track..... Still hyped for the wave but damn really? Wii has enough calm down Nintendo.

@@mailpaper7754 Good news is that GCN DK Mountain has already made it to Tour, so there's a huge chance it'll make it to the DLC :) But now I'm worried about Wii Rainbow Road's chances of making it in. I wonder if they're considering GCN Rainbow Road instead?

@@kendallmonge649 GCN rainbow road would be dope, however impossible. The DLC is only adding tracks from Tour, and sadly Tour is ending new content and GCN Rainbow Road isn’t coming.

I agreed on most of your points. I love Mario games but I wish Nintendo would bring back some non-Mario games during this weird Switch twilight period. I get that we got the Pikmin games but there are so many series that have been basically dead for years. Meanwhile, TWO remastered Mario rpg games are coming out in the next year. Great games but I would like more variety.

Good point! Very Mario heavy for sure. Must be a part of their final effort to sell more switches and break some records - I bet Mario ports will push more units than pretty much any other port we can think of.

F-Zero 99 honestly feels like a troll move. It feels like Nintendo knew exactly what they were doing by releasing that after fans have been begging for a new F-Zero (or at least a remastered GX). And I say that as someone who ISN'T a big F-Zero fan. Those big fans must feel super betrayed right now lol And the most disappointing part of the Among Us announcement was that they didn't call it "Fungus Amongus." But I'm lowkey excited for Trombone Champ. Every playthrough I've seen of it has been hilarious, so I'm pretty stoked to see what other KZbinrs can do with it.

Let me try to provide a different point of view. F-Zero has never sold well, despite its usual high quality. And it's been almost 20 years in hibernation. By introducing this version of it, it calls attention to the series while not asking some 30M Switch users to drop even a dime to play it. And the reception I've seen so far has been great. Which, hopefully, will lead to a GX remaster and, one can dream, a new entry for the "Switch 2". But that's just my take on it. I could be horribly wrong 😅
