@@BlackMageLozi No evidence for that statement, Pacman 99 is being shut down because of licensing and Mario 35 was shut down because Nintendo didn't realize how dumb that decision was and have too much pride to bring it back. Tetris 99 is still working just fine and if Splatoon 1 still has active servers, then I don't see why the arguably best 99 game so far can't last a few years.

the risk/reward system of "go faster but lose health" is so simple but so genius in creating a really intense game it helps a lot too that unlike pretty much every other racing game even ones with hp bars you actually can't revive, once you're dead you instantly lose so it makes it that much more risky to keep pushing your boosts

There’s so much work put into this game I’m kinda shocked they didn’t just make a new game. It’s only the SNES game in it’s style and music. The actual game is a 3D recreation of the SNES game as far as I can tell, not to mention the added mechanics.

If you KO a gray bumper, you just get a max power increase (although it does increase your current power accordingly). If you KO a player, you also get your power fully restored. You get nothing if you blow up a red bumper.

EDIT: I was wrong, see below! To clarify boost mechanics: your first KO in a race expands your bar, increasing your max power but doesn’t fill your bar. Every KO after that fills your bar. But KOs are only against other players, not the gray or red mobs/ghosts that appear.

Actually, any KO increases your boost meter. However, KOing other players fully refills it, but KOing Gray Bumpers only fills the increased amount. Red Bumpers should be avoided at all costs.

you make sharp turns by letting go of gas, its so simple. you can also lean left or right with shoulder buttons and let go of gas for ultra sharp turns

Yeah this game is awesome. I can only imagine how good a mixture of this and F-Zero GX would be. This is probably just a test by Nintendo though and they may never come out with another big F-Zero game since they already make Mario Kart and F-Zero GX sold poorly even though it was a great game.

I haven't got to play this yet because school has been eating all my time... but seeing this again feels like I'll be reuniting with an old friend, which I first met in 1990. I played the original an *obscene* amount of time and still love it to this day. That said, in watching your stream I can tell you are very new to the series and will just say one thing... there was FAR too much lack of Sliding (L, R) into your turns. Start utilizing that a lot more and your performance should improve DRASTICALLY.
