While April could be a release date, my firm belief is not seeing it released until 2025 with it being the main direct of the Fall direct in September or October. But early March does still seem most likely (And roughly on the Nintendo Switch's 8th birthday). It is still exciting and looking forward to seeing it.

13 million Switch sales for March 2024-25 is achievable if there’s a significant price drop, some new colours/themed consoles & some Nintendos great lineup of games. I wouldn’t be surprised if they release a new model Switch like an XL version. You never know with them

Don’t be silly, Nintendo is not going to risk sales of Metroid prime 4 or the last big push for the current switch as the Nintendo flagship by releasing switch 2 now. Just be patient and focus on any backlog of switch games you have this obsession with the new system is unhealthy.

Been following Nintendo’s history of announcements. Usually when they officially announce the name and specs of the system, there’s been a waiting time of 1 year plus. This was the case from the Wii to the Wii U and the DS to the 3ds. These successor consoles had a 1 year gap between official announcement and official launch. All that we’re getting right now is forecasting. We still have not seen the official announcement for the successor of the Nintendo Switch. In my opinion, when we see that official announcement it will be another year before the system launches. My guess is official announcement of the system in March 2025 and system release holiday 2025 (if we’re lucky) or March 2026 (which seems more realistic.) This would get final development of games for current gen finished and first lineup of game ready for the next gen switch. All this is just my hunch, so please take it with a grain of salt. None of us have a true in with Nintendo. We’re all just happily speculating. Happy gaming all! 😁

I just don’t get it. By the time Nintendo releases the next Console it will be outdated by two PlayStation generations in terms of capabilities. So why would it take so long to release an extremely outdated console? Nintendo continues to drop the ball. The switch was a great console but outside of 1000 anime FuFu games they only released a handful of actual games that people would want to play that are older than the age of 10. I have been a Nintendo fan, my whole life, and have literally every Console they have ever released but if they release this outdated system with only a handful of games again, like they did with the Wii, U and the switch I will be done buying Nintendo

​@@jeffzazuetaWhile I agree with you when Switch 2 gets released the Nvidia Tegra 239 which has same power as PS4 Pro would be outdated. That's not a bad thing, because consoles like PS5, Xbox series s also don't have the latest and most powerful hardware either. For Sony and Microsoft to sell it at mass production. PS5 and Xbox Series S is beastly powerful no doubt compare it to midrange PC not even close. So while switch 2 will be be outdated in terms of hardware it'll still get PS5 and Xbox Series ports. And tons of Nintendo 1st party exclusive that will utilise DLSS, Ray tracing and Ray reconstruction technology. It'll still be able to play most graphically demanding ports from Sony and Microsoft and lots and lots of them are gonna be there on Switch 2 when it gets released!
