Nintendo Switch won't connect to wifi. Error code 2110-1100 ... PLEASE HELP!!!!

I just received a Nintendo switch today and for​ hours I've been trying to connect to my home wifi network just to be greeted with the same error/error code. I've looked online for solutions and I've called Nintendo.... PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN

@@gregorytaylor240 I recommend not using your switch for a while. I turned my switch off for approximately 10 days and the next time I turned it back on it was able to connect to wifi again. I still don't know what cause the issue but I'm glad it got fixed by itself because I was planning on bringing it to a repair shop which would've cost some $. There's many websites and videos that gives some solutions for this issue so I'd try those if I were you. None of them worked for me but it's still worth giving a try.

error code 2110 - 1100 and 2110 - 3127 are different problems. what fixes one does not fix the other. and I still have yet to find a fix for 2110 - 1100

First you have to Forget the internet your using and then restart you internet not the internet in the switch the internet at you home and then if you find the name of your wifi rewrite you password of your internet and btw you need to restart your switch thank me later dude

I just got my Switch today and I fixed this problem by going into Internet Settings, selected the network I registered, selected change settings, and at the bottom of the settings I set "Connect to a Hidden Network" ON. Then it worked perfectly, hope it works for you.

Do you have a phone? Because if you go to settings, and go onto mobile hotspot, and if it says allowed devices, Click the three dots and it says allowed devices, click it. Finally, turn of allowed devices. Viola! Magic!

2024 Fix - This is what I did to fix mine. So hoping it works for some people. **Connect to your phone host spot** *once it’s connected, put in your WiFi password and it should connect*

So I fixed this by first putting random words into the password and the saving it then put connect and it going to say that it's wrong then go on setting and put the real password. That's how I fix my problem like 5 times already.

Hey! If you have this problem, it means the network settings are entered incorrectly. Check those settings by returning to HOME menu and selecting System Settings -----> Internet. (Ya i get the error code 2110-1100, but not this error message)

This happens to me a couple times, What I did was I signed in to my router using my phone (I use Spectrum, your router should tell you) and where it tells about your Wi-Fi I pressed “Save” and it works like a charm, but it really depends on what your issue was, my issue was it wasn’t connecting after I restarted it

NEW nintendo switch would not connect so I skip the internet connections setup during the initial setup then when it was finished setting up I went to settings and turned it airplane mode on. Left it there about 2 minutes then took it off went to internet and clicked connection test and it was successful. Successfully connected to the wifi. Currently it is updating data. :) this fix worked for me hope it works for you.

If you recently used switchbru DNS to use the internet that is why. Just change you'd DNS settings to automatic

For all those getting error code 2110-1100 and the message: This network's settings are not supported. Please choose a different network. Here is what I was told: As I suspected, this message means that your network is not using a wireless security type that is supported by Nintendo Switch. In order to connect, the security on your network will need to be changed. However, this means that you may also need to update the connections on any other devices connecting to the network (PCs, smart devices, etc.). The Nintendo Switch console supports WEP, WPA-PSK(AES), and WPA2-PSK(AES) security types. The router may be set to a security type your Nintendo 3DS is able to connect to, but not the Nintendo Switch Lite. I have other family member devices' connected to the router and to change the router settings (and all the other devices) for just the switch is not an option for me right now. So it looks like I have a $200 game boy for now. :-/

Bought a Nintendo Switch Lite about a week ago and still no internet. I have tried just about everything and feel I'm down to 3-4 choices left. 1. Accept that I have a $200 game boy and will never have internet on the switch lite. 2. Contact Nintendo support and see if they come up with any ideas I haven't thought of. 3. Try to go back to Wal-mart and exchange for another switch lite. (Surely it wouldn't happen twice, right?) 4. I've heard a personal router might work. I might look into this one, as long as they are cheap.

The wifi adapter in the switch is going out. Common problem with them. Mine has done that and there is no real fix without replacing the adapter in the switch.
