It's not quite The Wizard on a cartridge, but it's close enough to make it a fun timesink for old-school NES fans. Just so long as you don't ever expect to own an official copy, that is.

@matt Yeah, depending on the version and its condition, the prices can really get up there.

If you do get a copy just make sure you don't get it smashed by the AVGN. He was pissed that a game this rare was only a marathon of 3 pretty easy to get ahold of NES titles. I mean he was so angry he smashed a Gold one and those are even rarer.

@@larrylaffer3246 That was when I stopped watching his videos. Before that AVGN episode, he was still the... well... Angry Nerd that we know and love. Now, his style has changed. He doesn't really go apesh** anymore. His episodes nowadays are fine, just not nearly as memorable.

Nintendo should release a compilation like this on the Switch Online service and have the entire Nintendo Switch userbase challenge it and see who comes out on top. Would be a great fun thing to try during this pandemic, in my opinion of course.

You know, NintendoComplete, I think I can blame you as being a bad influence. I recently watched your playthrough of The Flintstones: The Surprise at Dinosaur Peak, and I went on eBay and found myself paying an obscene amount for a beautiful, rare, and authentic CIB copy, which now sits proudly in my collection. Now I watch this, and I had to resist the urge to look on eBay to see what prices the cart is going for out of curiosity. Having bought a CIB Dinosaur Peak and a loose Panic Restaurant this past month, I think that's enough eBay for now.
@NintendoComplete
@NintendoComplete 4 жыл бұрын
Hahaha I'm sorry for your wallet. Those are good investments, at least! (I loved both Flintstones 2 and PR) I don't blame you for avoiding eBay for now though. I've found myself doing the same at times after spending too much on old games (like when I bought a complete mint Miracle Piano system or Bubble Bobble 2)

Yeah....Could've won the whole thing back then but Nintendo wouldn't let me use my Power Glove to dominate the competition. Said I would've been to OP and no one else would've stood a chance. Well, except some some scrawny kid holding a lunch box that was obsessed with California...

Pretty decent score overall! I know that the ultimate winner, Thor Aackerlund, wound up with a score of over 4 million during his round, and ultimately won it all with a score of 2.8 million (beating second place only by about 100,000 points). Maybe you would've made it into the finals.

*_Nintendo World Championship 1990_* on NES. One of the rarest NES games out there (Especially that gold cartridge!). Never heard of this one, until the AVGN episode with Pat the NES Punk. I would have loved this as a kid back in 90'. It would've been a great moment from that year to me, next to: • *Importing "Super Mario World" on Super Famicom* • *Playing said game in Japan with a friend from there, while binging lots of "Chibi Maruko-chan"* (😊 It truly was the "best of two worlds". Super Mario, and a great "slice of life" anime that's still airing in Japan to this day since its second run in 1995!) • *Getting the original "MOTHER" on Famicom* (🤨 The weakest, and hardest entry in that series) • *Super Mario Bros 3 releasing in North America* (😄 *_"FINALLY! Now my friends can REALLY experience this awesome game!"_* ) Well, that's enough of my nostalgic elaboration. On with the meat and potatoes! POSITIVES • *Nice Trio of Games to Compete In* (SMB1, Rad Racer, *_AND_* Tetris!? It's every Nintendo fanboy's wet dream!) • *It's Fun* (Even though it's incredibly short, it is a decent way to play these with a friend. *_"The one with the higher score gets ALL the glory!"_* as for the loser, *_"... You get NOTHING! You lose! GOOD DAY, SIR!"_* ) NEGATIVES (More like a single nitpick) • *5 Minutes Long* (It's really over before you know it. Kind of a let down, if you ask me.) Final Rating: 10/10 With a solid trio of games to compete in for some quick fun, it's a novel way to play with a buddy... just really practice your Tetris skills, or you'll be *MAULED* before you even know it.
