I've been watching you for years, & you seem to handle life with such grace & joy. I know you've done similar videos, but I'd love to hear more in depth how you cultivate a positive/happy mindset... For i.e., do you actively practice gratitude & self love, or "plant" positive thoughts in your mind all day, & keep a tight reign on what you allow yourself to think about? How do you deal with negative or even fearful thoughts, feelings, & self doubt & criticism? I apologise if it's too personal to ask of you, but for those who struggle with worry, anxiety, depression etc, I'd find it incredibly helpful to have insight into how a "happy person" deals with their mind & emotions in a healthy way. If you do decide to do such a video, Thank you from the bottom of my heart, & if not I understand. 💓

Such a great video! I feel like I learned so much. 💕 I've always loved your approach to health Niomi, you don't overcomplicate things and never promoted strange diets - I've never seen you use nutrition or working out as a way to restrict or punish yourself and that is SO refreshing so thank you for that!

Love this Niomi and Rhiannon! I am a vegan of 3 years (mainly for the animals) and have never felt better, I haven't been ill once in that time.I take the Better You vitamin D3 spray and B12 spray, Spatone Iron with Vit C, Vegan Omegas and a multivitamin with Coq10. Dairy is mucus forming and full of hormones, so swapping to Oatmilk my skin is now clear too. Thank you! xx

Hi, the High Carb Low Fat movement is driven by Drs in the US like McDougall, Caldwell, Esselstyn and Davis. Also Chef AJ. I was sucked into it and ended up with high triglycerides and hormones out of sinc. Added fat back and reduced the starchy carbs and the triglycerides are back to normal.

Tip for increasing ALA synthesis in your body (what she said about you would need to eat a thousands nuts) is to combine it with curcumin, which is in tumeric! Curcumin helps the ALA to be synthesized faster!

It fertilizes the fig (there is a male tree and a female tree) and can’t come back out. It is consumed by the sugar in the fig.

There’s nothing wrong with sautéing in water! Oil isnt intrinsically bad, but fats are better in their whole form- nuts (including chia and flax), seeds, avocado! I think here they’re assuming people are excluding fat but really they’re reducing refined oils, and getting them in the whole forms with all the fibre and micronutrients 🙂

Loved this Niomi, have always enjoyed your channel, especially, what I eat in a day. I'm not vegan but I love to eat lots of fruit & veg in my diet, and I love anything to do with nutrition, so this video was just my thing! I think with Vitamin D, everybody thinks that sun is the enemy these days, but a bit of sun on your skin is good for you. With non-heme iron that comes from fruit and veg, just be aware that alot of things can hinder the absorption, teas & coffees, there are quite a few other things. Where as heme iron from meats & fish absorb more easily with the presence of protein. Loved this Niomi! x 😄

She missed out vitamin B12 which is really important it’s best to use a sublingual liquid one under the tongue I would like to see Naomi do a more detailed video on this topic, showing examples of supplements. She should have posted some useful links about this topic below. If you want more advice on going vegan medical doctor Michael Greger has a a KZbin channel Nutritionfacts.org he also has a book called How Not to Die and recipe book by the same name, he talks about supplements and the daily dozen foods you need to be eating.

Thanks for this video I'm vegan. I take b-12 tablets but I also want to make sure I'm eating everything I need. From the video, I seem to be eating everything I need lentils, beans, grains, veggies, fruit, nuts, etc but it's nice just to check again to make sure I'm getting what I need. I didn't know dried apricots had a lot of iron so I'll buy some next time at Aldi. I love dried apricots so that's a plus :). I did go to a GP and she said I should get a blood test just to make sure but apart from that she seems to think I'm healthy.

I would like to say I'm not vegan but fats do make me tired unfort, (I'm 58, sedentary but will do indoor jogging and exsercises so...) and low fat gives me tons of energy! I feel fantastic on it, but I DO have to have SOME, so I'll have some salmon once a week, and some yogurt, cottage cheese, some nuts/avocado but in small amounts only (really hard to do!). I notice it if I'm all carbs I go pale and feel really scared, bit unwell, shaky without enough fats, and I need that salmon so vegan would not suit me! Plant fats do not have the same effect. Nor does a vit B12 tablet I notice , does nothing for that condition of feeling scared, looking pale. But I get the whole low fat thing tho! Feels so goood for me, my blood and body type/my genetics.
