I used to perform the version with a special coin and glass bottle. Got away with it by showing the bottle but not handing it out for inspection. More recently I have performed the coin into plastic cola bottle. In one school assembly, a badly behaved student inspecting the bottle ripped the label off and I had to quickly retrieve the bottle. So thank you for your review of this version that had already caught my attention. (I also use the Henry Harrius bottle but I give the beer to a spectator so I'm not tempted to drink it! Ha! ha!) Not sure if he's still alive but Ramon in NYC is the best coin bottle worker I've ever seen. I'd love to hear his thoughts on this effect. The first method I teach can be done live in certain situations making the coin sign-able & can also be pre-prepped to travel around with it. It can also be done pre-set which takes seconds (you can even break the glass at the mouth in the end in a plastic ziplock bag with a small hammer for the first method, you’ll see why on the download). The second method I teach takes roughly 2 min, less or more depending on the bottle & the coin. It cannot be done live like the first method but it can be accomplished as preset under many conditions & scenarios. Thank you!

I got this not too long ago. I'm not a huge beer drinker, so I had to do some experimenting with craft soda bottles. Took quite a while to find good ones. I've since gotten some Modelo bottles, so I'll be good for a while. I like the quarter handling too. I've also done the slap penetration using the strike vanish (Jay Sankey water bottle move).

Reminds me of the axel hecklau bottle cap effect. The cap is in the bottle too. Axel found a solution how to put a real cap into a real bottle. I wonder if this here used the same technique.

No, my piece Pretty Penny uses a breakthrough new method for coin in bottle, which is a complete substitute for the folding coin. ‘Cola Cap’ is a very old piece that uses a totally different method for metal bottle caps and comes with the tools you need to set it up. My piece uses real coins and glass bottles but does not require any special tools that need to be shipped to you to set it up, like Cola Cap requires. If my piece used the same technique, it would not be breakthrough or revolutionary like it is!

@@nicohauptmentalist No need to apologize! On second thought, you could probably find the required tools/props/gimmicks for Cola Cap elsewhere since it’s not for sale anymore, but it’s a totally different method/technique nonetheless :)
