The young people watching this in 2023 have to understand that, in America, most bands in 1989 were hair metal. This was extremely original for the time. No guitar gods, no make up, no drum solos, no girls in cages.

In the chorus of "scoff" I always heard him singing, " Kill, Neil Young" haha Such a sick fucking riff though. The entire song is just so awesome. Actually the entire Bleach album is full of really sick riffs and very well put together songs. Even in his early song writing days, he just put riffs together that work perfectly together and then his vocal harmonies over them were just amazing. People say his riffs are so easy to play and sure they aren't these crazy scales played at a million miles an hour but playing and singing the shit he did isn't easy to do at all. And showboating or songwriting? For me there are FAR more show boating guitarists out there then really good song writers. Especially now days. It seems like most guitarists can play really fast and play all the scales their idols can. But not many of them can put 1 really good song together, let alone albums worth of really good song writing. I guess for me, I'd take Lennon over Van Halen.
@CharlieBoy360
@CharlieBoy360 3 жыл бұрын
I agree and that's why players like Jerry Cantrell are so impressive. Amazing player, riffs that fit and deep lyrical content. Not many can do it all. Kurt more than made up for his lack of guitar prowess in his song writing and singing. Amazing voice as you can hear in the video here.

This is an early Bleach show when nobody even knew who they were. I don’t think there were more than 100 people in the club. What is strange is hearing them play a few songs that would be hugely popular later and hearing a handful of claps afterwards. Very strange! But they did win over the crowd! And thanks to whoever recorded this so we can all see it now! It was recorded for posterity like a historical record. Thanks for posting it! 👏🏻🎸😎

My god. The shift in his energy from 89 until after nevermind came out is like night and day. You can tell how much he loves this shit. His passion is truly undeniable during this performance along with most shows in 89-91. Everything about kurt transformed into the worst due to fame, however his music needed to reach the mainstream. His art needed to reach the masses. The message needed to be heard around the world. Had he only been better prepared for the price of fame, but at the same time would nirvana still be as notorious around the world had kurt not killed himself ?
@JaredDocEstesMusic

Who knows if kurt killed himself, I'm. Ot convinced. But if he did, it's kind of like Courtney at his memorial after he died. If you didn't want to be a Rockstar THEN DONT BE ONE. Take your money move to Iceland or viet nam and dissappear. I mean it's it's funny to me, the guy wanted to make it as a musician but not be popular? I guess he wanted more of a mud honey tier experience? But this is a great example of your life is in your own hands. I love your tunes kurt, I'm from the same area as you, but you could have just said sorry guys I don't take your record deal ill only release my music on small labels and I'll only play small shows and I'm gonna live in Iceland..

I know! I get the others were better technically, but he has this distinct vibe when I watch some of the old stuff. He was way more creative with his fills and beats, and kept it at the right amount of simple. Dave may hit hard, and Dale may have been extremely skilled, but they all sounded a little generic

That was one of the best versions of Love Buzz I have ever heard. Such incredible energy from the whole band in this concert.

Weird, because I thought differently. I loved seeing Kurt backed up by a proper headbanging freak. He had so much fuckjng energy. Now looking over there it seems empty.

And as the soft pretentious mountains Glisten in the light of the trees And all the flowers sing in D minor And the birds fly happily We'll be once again my love I need you back, oh baby baby I can't explain just why we lost it from the start Living without you girl, you only break my heart I can feel it, I can hold it I can bend it, I can shape it, I can mold it I can cut it, I can taste it I can spank it I can beat it, masturbate it I've been looking for day glow Always hearing the same ol' Sticky boredom with a book I can make you do things You wouldn't think you ever could I can feel it, I can hold it I can bend it, I can shape it, and I mold it I can cut it, I can taste it I can spank it I can beat it, masturbate it I've been looking for day glow Always hearing the same ol' Sticky boredom with a book I can make you do things You wouldn't think you ever would I've been looking for day glow Always hearing the same ol' Sticky boredom with a book I can make you do things You wouldn't think you ever could Why is that so groovy

Is that the full set list? It’s interesting to say the least Epic concert. So good playing. And it’s epic to think how times were changing. Soon hair metal would be sent back to where it came from lol

Thus is the best live show ive ever seen kurt in. This may be one of the only shows in which he was completely locked in. This was Kurt playing with every bit of his real emotuon and character thru these songs. He plays them almost perfectly and sings impecably. Its amaxmzing. Thank u for this so much

❤❤ hey got great 😃👍 news for u Jesus Christ died for your sinns and arose from the dead U can be forgiven for your sinns For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son whosoever believe in him should not parrish Jesus Christ said the sinner will not see his life until he comes to except Jesus Christ in. His heart 💞💞 And realize he is a hell bound sinner under the laws of sin and God judge ment He will not see his life
