That was a pivotal point of where Pat kept the rhythm guitar part going just as we all hear it on the studio version, same for many other songs. Umm.. i doubt he changed the lyrics in this case... its sounds like he just mumbled "i know" Although he almost always changed "our little group" to "our little tribe", occasionally changed "she's overboard" to "she's overjoyed" or "she's overgorged" A few times in 91-92 or so he would troll and change "load up on guns, bring your friends" to "load up on drugs, kill your friends" (top of of pops and france 91) or he would change "a denial a denial" to "a gelato a gelato" (rome 91) or "roger taylor roger taylor" (first tv performance)
